You forgot to mention modest.

If you can drop erudite into a post so casually you don't need to be modest. ;)

From Arsenal-Mania - Next 8 Matches Thread

Oct 28th
Next 8 games in EPL: Liverpool,Wolves,Spurs,Huddersfield,Burnley (Home),
Bournemouth,Man Utd,Southampton ( Away)

16 points should be good.
That's 16 out of 24
Oct 31st
All home game we should win them 13 points should be acceptable the away fixture are tough im expecting 4 points so yeah you right if we end first half of season with 35-40 points then emery done an very acceptable job

in reply: -
I count that we'll get 1 point against Liverpool,Spurs,United and Bournemouth. Can't see us beat Liverpool and against United we have poor record at OT.

Actual Results:-
Arsenal 1:1 Liverpool
Arsenal 1:1 Wolves
Bournemouth 1:2 Arsenal

4 points dropped already. Max possible for remain 5 games is 20 (5+ (5x3)).
Barring any really weird results I can see them getting 16 or more from those 8 games.

While ultimately Lloris got very lucky so the initial reprehensiblity of his actions is equal, a quick dig shows that Lloris was driving 15mph in a 30 with 80mg/100ml alcohol/ blood, Alonso was doing 70mph in a 30 with 91mg/100ml alcohol/ blood. Both are horrible mistakes, but saying they are the same is like saying firing a pistol once into a crowd is as bad as throwing a petrol bomb into a primary school classroom.

This ever so slightly strained analogy of yours could do with a bit more contextual detail for clarity. For instance, what if it was a pistol being fired once into a crowd of babies, as against a petrol bomb being thrown into an empty primary school classroom during the summer holidays? Which fictional example is Lloris and which one is Alonso in that case? The mind boggles.

The initial mistake of getting behind the wheel is equal, but Alonso’s actions following that were dramatically more likely to kill someone and as such yes, he deserves greater ire and disdain than Hugo does, even before considering that he’s taken a life and destroyed a family while continuing to enjoy a paradise of an existence.

As much paradise as can be enjoyed with the death of a friend weighing on your conscience...

I will thanks. We all have different views. I let him know how I felt about what he did etc. Unfortunately I am not able to say it to his face so I do what I can. If you and others don’t want to it’s up to you. Have a good day

What a saint!

Get a grip.

Phil71 » Today 2:48 pm
Mike Dean is the ref for this game.

Might as well just give them the points now.

short term memory loss isn't a good thing, I hope they receive the right treatment very soon in case their bad memory cost other peoples lives:whistle:

Perspective. He'll ref like he always has and both arsenal and tottenham fans will criticise him for it.

Didnt he fuck us over last season with some dodgy offside that wasnt offside or something

he gave them a free kick that shouldn't of been that lead to Arsenal 1st goal, and their 2nd should of been offside

though we were shit the whole game and deserved nothing

@chrissivad both tottenham and arsenal fans are already moaning that he's going to be the ref. Whatever he does both sets of fans will pick holes.

would happen with any ref.
Seen it happen plenty of times where we have complained about a ref and going to look to see what the other team fans are saying, and they are saying the same thing.

there was only 2 refs I ever hated seeing and 1 current. can't ever remember getting a positive result with Riley in charge in any game. when Howard Webb refereed us v a team in the top 4 so many bad decisions against us. until last season I used to feel like crying when I saw Moss, but he must hate Liverpool more:cautious:

It is a bit of a generalisation but the more up north you go the more football becomes centric in peoples lives - not sure why that is - perhaps because theyre more one or two club cities - Manchester, Liverpool etc

Football can piss us off but thats just so wound up but he did look a bit drunk

That's because we're all working our nuts off so they can go to football matches.(y)
