Let's face it, the Arsenal fans can't stand that we are real competition now. That the days of us spending years in mid table are gone. They'll do anything to delude themslves we aren't, but it speaks volumes that they now have to resort to things like starting petitions for points deductions to get at us.
They also have no historical perspective.

Until we became shit in the '90s the two clubs had been relatively equal in terms of success. They had won more leagues than us but we were ahead in cups and winning in Europe (and have still won more european trophies!). With us becoming their equal the historical norm has been re-established, but their young and/or fair-weather fans can't handle it.

loving this. Gonna be a disaster season for the scum

Mmmm...well thanks for the headstart.

they aint that good they rode their luck last season with dodgy decisions etc and jammy wins and shit penalties and this season even their first game just edged a win and sissoko should have been off. Their luck is gonna run out soon enough especially with injuries.

Yeah...cheers Maverick, let's ignore our achievements having to use Wembley for the season.

A spurs points deduction is our best chance of breaking into the top 5, absolute scenes

Oh dear.

No way they’ll deduct points imo.

A touch of sense, who'd have thought.

Ah well that puts to bed a hope of a top 5 finish then.

Two games in LoL.

We could charge them big rent money. Let Spurs pay for our next big signing imo

Imagine they get a points deduction that takes them out the top 4

Here's a thought. Why don't you losers qualify for top 4 on your own merits as opposed to looking like saddo's wanting us to have points deducted.

And yet they are above us. Hopefully their luck will finally run out this season.

First sentence...informative, second...luck, what luck. Seldom got our strongest 11 on the pitch last season and haven't as of yet this season. Twonk.

Cant they not just play their matches without attendance?
All you need is the pitch

Stop please. Just coz it's quiet at your gaff matchdays.
Did I miss some change to the rules where top 5 is relevant ?

I don't like it when our fans get arrogant and assume we're going to be top four every year now as I think any one of us, Arse, United and Chelsea can finish in the top four. But I otherwise agree. There is one word that is pertinent. Consistency. In three years we have had three top four finishes and two title challenges. You don't do that if you are just scraping by and having a lucky season.

I’m not taking top 4 as a given but I will take any bet on Arsenal making top 4, they simply aren’t in the same bracket as United or Chelsea. I think they might even struggle to stay in the top 6.

I think Everton can threaten the 5/6 positions if they get their shit together under Silva.

Considering how many posters on red cafe like to rub their noses at Spurs there are an awful lot of Spurs related threads on there

I can go one further than this.

I'd bought tickets for my dad and i to Spurs vs Fulham for the weekend just gone. In what can only be called a complete and utter act of stupidity, i double booked myself for the same day to go for afternoon tea with the gf.

Had to give my spurs ticket away to my brother

Should’ve given the afternoon tea to your brother, he could’ve gone with your EX girlfriend!! ?

Dunno what the WHU fans are saying at the moment but let's all revel in the fact they're now the only team in the whole of the football league without a single point.

Rather it had been Arsenal, but I’ll take WHam being in that position.

This made me laugh on KUMB, regarding what will happen with the OS now that E20 have gone bust. His answer to number 4! ??

marshboy wrote:I am pretty stupid when it comes to business and finance,i have read through the last few pages can someone answer me in simple terms
1. What affect will E20 going bust have on west ham - Probably nothing.
2, will ever we own the stadium - Possibly.
3.if we do own the stadium would our board improve it - No more than tinkering things like the pitch surround.
4. could we be homeless - No, we would probably ground share with, whisper it, Spurs...
5 finally.... would it be better all round to build a 45000 west ham football ground - YES!!!

Only imo, of course.

Sadly, for younger people our history doesn't look that great when living in a time where domestic cups and the UEFA Europa League hardly matter.

the thing is especially with the new stadium carrying debt, and even without it unless we get oil money buy our club, it's impossible to compete with the top boys on all fronts, and a matter of preying we get lucky in the draws and get to a final or 2, then win on the day.

the only time we can even afford to go in the Europa League is if we finish 3rd in the CL groups, and we can only put out a strong team in the latter stage of any domestic cup/EL is if we are near on secured top 4. with CL and being involved in the run for a CL spot at least, we will fill the stadium majority of the time. if it's a EL match especially group stages your looking at a half empty stadium.

we all want to win trophies, and my dream would be the PL, then any trophy, but to keep players you have to at least be in the top 4, no good winning a domestic cup and finishing 6th, because then players will be wanting to leave.

This from KUMB.

Don't mean to get ahead of myself here but I'd actually be disappointed if we lost to United in a couple of weeks. They look dreadful. Surely Mourinho's gone by Christmas
