Parisians are almost universally unpopular outside Paris. I live in the South, I remember years ago I went to the local bar and asked the owner if he was going to watch the PSG match (I think it was Ligue 1 but might've been Champions League) - he spat on the floor and said "I don't watch foreigners". Ok then.

When we’re on holiday in the Ardeche we noticed that they didn’t celebrate July 14. It was really odd.

The shed bellend

Rumoured that Tottenham might be talking to him about managing them.
Winning anything with them might be a bridge too far even for Conte LOL

That would surely be a step down.

I really can't seem him leaving Inter with Champions League football to Spurs, it is a big step down.
The guy can create more history in Italy like he did with Juventus, and I'm assuming he'll want a good crack at the Champions League.
The only way I can see him leaving is if Inter have to sell players like Lukaku, Martinez etc.

Conte and Levy working together? Please tell me they've signed up for another Amazon series this time making it no holds barred!

He's one manager I'd have back in a heartbeat if he's available one day when we are looking for a manager.
16/17 was as impressive as Joses 04-06 performances in my book. Absolute masterclass that season from Antonio.
Then we screwed it all up ourselves as ForeverCarefree said.

Poor politician but he is an incredible coach isn’t he. Really knows how to build a team. It’s a shame that Inter have no money and will dismantle his team.

Hopefully we can capitalise on this, some of my most enjoyable times witnessed under Contes tutelage, superb and passionate man and manager

Flawed man, but brilliant coach.

He'll no doubt "prefer to kill Levy" inside a year but the crazy man might also turn Tottenham into a contender. The kind of players he's dragged to a league title sometimes is amazing.

I hope he doesn't go to Spurs. I think he does not fit in that club as they will not spend a penny on transfers, and we know how Conte dislikes to be in a club that does not back him up with players. If they lose Kane and they are not willing to spend much, who are they promising to bring in for Conte? I'm not seeing it, really.

Please no. But at the same time I can imagine it going sideways again and he would be hailed as agent Conte when he is sulking and dragging them down.

I'm not worried. Conte had some fantastic players at Chelsea during his time, who were winners already. Inter did well to win Serie A, but they were the best of a bad bunch. Juventus were crap. The Premier League has grown a lot since Conte with tougher opposition and managers, so although it will be interesting and he'll improve them I'm sure, I don't see him taking Spurs to a title. I'm willing to admit i'm dead wrong if he does anything of the sort though.

Him managing the Spuds would be comedy. He'd probably leave after a week's training after realizing Levy doesn't spend a minimum 60m.

Don't want Conte joining Spurs as he is a serial winner and he will improve them.
Much rather Sarri went to Spurs and we could enjoy watching that unfold.
Conte also being linked with Man Utd. If he goes there, they will win something within a season.

I guess it's better he goes to Spurs than Man Utd where he is a lot more likely to be successful but can't help feel this is treachery. Another mercenary manager of modern football. I hope he fails miserably if he goes there.

Interesting. They’ll keep Kane. They’ll buy him a couple of cheap-ish squad players. What can he make from them eggs?
He won’t win them the league (lol) but he’ll make them better. The league will be tougher.

Conte isnt a long term manager, he will come in and ruffle some feathers, won't be given the funds to win anything and will leave in a cloud of smoke after he's fallen out with everyone at the club. Spurs squad is mince

Really hope he doesn’t go there but there’s strong rumours it’s close. Strange thing is that Levy wrote a couple of weeks ago that he was looking for an attacking manager. Doesn’t seem right.

A few more from the ArseMania 'Let's all laugh at Tottenham' thread:

Change the thread title, there's nothing to laugh at.

Let's laugh at Arsenal

No CL, best player wants to leave and no oil money owner yet they're still targetting the best manager available on the market whilst we put our tail between our legs and accept our falling into mediocrity.

We can all laugh about the lack of trophies but let's face it, Sp**s have at least tried to behave like a big club far more than us in the last 10 or so years.

...............................................................**** sake!

Sp**s getting Conte while we stick with Arteta is seriously depressing stuff.
If he goes to Sp**s then thats us missed out on both Tuchel and Conte for cone boy.

Paris is a dump.
Ah, a comment of half truth. Architecturally, Paris is sublime.

But, it is still dirty even by modern standards. It can be like hop-scotch on some paved areas as you dodge ratty dog turds.

The metro is proper ropey in places. And travelling through some.of the areas you've got to be vigilant and preferably with handy mates. Rough as a nuns chuff.

My family are all from deepest darkest rural France and it is a different kettle of fish. You just hop-scotch cow pats and dodge drunk drivers instead.

I'm not that sophisticated. What I meant was, I'm not that interested in expensive food before a night on the raz, I'd rather get pissed and grab a kebab on the way home. Simples.

Losers who don't get to live in the capital city, always hate that city whichever country you go to.

Can't agree with that. Excluding the 1st game of the season, up until the West Ham implosion where suddenly everything seemed to change after and we went ultra defensive, we looked really good. My (non spurs) mates thought we were in with a shout of the title, which was flattering us a little, but we were scoring plenty. I remember as it surprised me and was very different to the Mourinho ball I was expecting. I think that West Ham comeback probably screwed us, as Mourinho reverted to type, we stopped scoring so many, but continued to experience the issues in defence.
For me, early season it was teams at different stages of fitness. We were a little ahead and suited the way we were playing . Once others teams got match fit, it all evened out.

Well it is in my world. ATM I actually hate Arsenal the least. Live in Hackney and know a ton of Arsenal fans. Pitiable atm, it's hard to really hate them like the old days. If they become successful again it'll all change
for me...
Never hated Arsenal less than 100%. Finishing above is only so good. Want to see them relegated. Chelsea , City and WHU I have no respect . Liverpool are bullies .
