I got to admit I'd never heard of Zambo until last weekend when I saw his name on a teamsheet and decided he sounds like he should be fantastic......Zamorra with Rambo's shooting accuracy :ROFLMAO:

Well said.... look at this

The last two games I've watched him in he's looked a class above. His ball retention looked similar to God himself Dembele. Few of my mates are Fulham season ticket holders, he had a difficult first season, went on loan to Spain and has come back a monster. I wouldn't be surprised to see us try to sign him in a year or so.

I really struggle with how disconnected opposition fans can be on these forums. In spite of being a Spurs fan, I can easily praise an opposition player if I think they are good, yet so many on Red Cafe etc just seem like hate filled inbreds.

I honestly think with those lot that there is a massive element of jealousy involved as they'd love to have him. Opinion fluctuates, but there have been multiple times in the past where they have called him a UTD player (cringe) and said how we don't deserve him etc.

I think back to when I first started posting on Spurs forums in the early 2000s and even though we'd been nothing more than a mid-table club for well over a decade and were languishing in the bottom half then people still had this superiority complex over pretty much everyone that wasn't Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool. Any player at a team that wasn't at those clubs having a good season and he was appearing on people's transfer wishlists. Even in summer 2004 when Mourinho had just won the CL with Porto and was the most in-demand young manager in football, there were some who genuinely believed he would choose us and the vacancy left by Hoddle/Pleat over Roman Abramovich and Champions League football because apparently we were still a "bigger" club.

I get that it's hard to watch other teams as thoroughly as you watch your own. Anyone with a job/family/life probably has other things to do than watch 10x90 minute PL games each week plus any others from other countries you might want to see as well. But every time I see things like "Bruno Fernandes is just a stat-padding penalty merchant" I start to wonder what these people must actually be like in other areas of life. Do they get politics, relationships or things in their professional life this badly wrong as well?

Ironically we signed Dembele from Fulham. Could be a case of history repeating itself

He's a fantastic player and I think easily the best player of the squads that look likely to be relegated. And he was already brilliant for Villarreal last season. Can't see him staying at Fulham's level long.

You must not have been watching much of Pogba then. He's really skillful and it gets overlooked as he doesn't apply himself as much during games.

Watched him destroy Man City in the second half of a Manchester derby at City’s ground.. When he applies himself he is unstoppable. Fortunately for us and unfortunately for football in general he mostly can’t be arsed or so it seems.

Lloris is probably one of the worst keepers in the top 6 so, yes he would get displaced. The reason Spurs conceded so few goals is because they defend with 11 men behind the ball. There is absolutely no one in the Spurs 2nd squad that would even get near the United first 11.
Lloris has improved no end this year. Poch always played a high line defence and that made us open to balls played through.Lloris was fast off his line but he made errors when coming out.His distribution also was quite poor. His shot stopping has always been superb although could be caught out by low shots.Since restart he has been absolutely top notch.

Haven’t we already got a midfielder with insane ball retention and issues with defensive work rate?

Would recommend anyone considering giving him a watch to keep an eye on what he does when Fulham don’t have the ball.

CPFC has a guess the score and attendance figure. Naturally most go with us winning and the attendance to be 2000. However this one feels we won't sell out this game

Posting this here as I am not able to post in the Harry Jane thread.

What the pundits and media are saying about us would be the better thread to post this I think ?

Found this gem from Frankgm on Arsemania....
Loving his use of asterisks*

“Arsenal win all their games in our group ......Sp**s lose one of their matches, win last night all they’re obsessing about is everything Arsenal ‍♂ Referring to Arsenal as, woolwich wanders*, Banter club, Arse or Woolwich* ‍♂
Praising (self praise is no praise at all) Mourinho their new Messiah, (which Chelsea & Manchester United fans can see as a pathetic joke, who couldn’t get to see the back of Mourinho fast enough) with his anti football, park the bus, playing long ball, repetitive football, get the one goal*, then play 10 men behind the ball and hang on for the win!
I hope this new European Super League takes off! The Premier League will become utterly irrelevant. Sp**s will be stuck with Mourinho, in the Premier League, who will implode sooner rather than later. He will then get the golden goodbye he craves for and hopefully is never seen again. The only thing super about Tottenham Hotspur will be NFL Super bowl.
Tottenham Hotspur fans won’t be able to talk about Arsenal ever again. Nobody in Europe will care about their infantile nonsense about Woolwich or Arsenil and referring to us Arse!
Telling us our night is Thursdays? Not a peep out of them now! ♂
20+ years telling anyone who would listen the Champions League should only be about Champions....they get into the top 4 and it’s gone very quite.‍♂

*Sp**s fans aren’t mocking Arsenal anymore, as boring boring Arsenal because we used to win 1-0, but playing attractive football, such fickle fans. see above.

* The same Sp**s who tried to get into the Olympic Stadium, in Stratford, East London. ‍♂”

Particularly like this line:
*Sp**s fans aren’t mocking Arsenal anymore”
Oh Frank, you’ve had a shocker here mate. I’m afraid we are still mocking you, if anything, it’s getting worse and I don’t think your post is going to help matters.

If Woolwich Wanders got his panties in a twist, I wonder how he’ll feel about Bumenal?

Also, what’s with the all gender symbols?

*not really

RAWK, as you would expect after our game, was a nest of snide, schadenfreude, spite and shit takes. Fair play to this poster, however, for his comment on the performance of the Palace keeper...

Best Guita solo since Stairway to Heaven?

At that point, of course, they were fully expecting to overtake us. The Fulham result must have gone down like a Led balloon...
