I wonder if the Newcastle fans are a bit pissed off with Howe for the first time in a while for not rotating/resting the team.

They played their best XI again who were running on fumes and still got battered so as many of their fans were suggesting pre-game Howe probably should've just played the kids/a full B team and rested the main ones for the CL game.

Amongst the negative comments, when we play well same with our fans to them, some of their fans do tend to call it out and respect it, both fans know good football when they see it.
100% this and I find that the genuine spurs / arsenal supporters whilst there's obviously massive rivalry there is also actually genuine respect between both clubs too. That's why I would have Arsenal winning any day of week over Loserpool.

As far as i'm aware, they've an injury crisis/situation that rivals our own.

Why are so many having a go at Son again in these comments? Some seriously odd takes among those forums, including him being dirty. At least the racism got called out. WTAF though?! 🤷🏼‍♂️

People have it out for son ever since the Everton incident. They think he’s some fake nice guy who’s actually super dirty.
Plus he’s world class do they don’t like it.
Oh what I’d give to clone son for a 27 year old him

Arsenal Mania (Laugh at Tottenham thread)
  • Sp**s did actually adapt to face City at the weekend. They kept more numbers deeper against City, forcing City to commit more in their high press. This created the space Sp**s needed to attack in behind.
It was a clever way of creating the space Sp**s needed, to counter attack into.
And that's what I really like about Ange's style of football. Its not this gung ho mess that people want to point to (Chelsea game). There is method to his madness, and that will make them stronger in time. (SA Gunner)
  • Tottenham only have to overcome the injury derby at home.
  • Are they going to get relegated after a points deduction for the Defoe affair?
  • Sp**s are the gift that keeps on giving. 4 losses out of the last 5 and the only team they take points off are our title rivals so it benefits us
  • Spuds getting Hammered.
    You live to see this!
  • Their fans have to be masochists, they just are always the club that thinks they are a big club but never win anything or really threaten even for league
  • Did they won the hearts of A-M and pundits again? Revolutionary Ange's style of football dominating game after game and just unlucky to lose
  • https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67656204
...heard he broke down in tears during this interview, proper freak.
  • Seen some more of their game, with extended highlights. They should have won the game against West Ham.
Sp**s remind me of early Klopp Liverpool. Able to create the openings they want to, but ultimately can’t kill off games and have poor defensive structure due to poor control.
I expect Ange to continue their aggressive style, but sure it up with more control. So they will need their own Wijnuldum (possibly Bissouma), their own Van Dyk (calm composure in possession and distribution from deep) and their own Salah, in addition to Maddison (their Thiago like player). And surround them with solid hard working players.
Ange knows he needs to both dominate and completely control games in the PL, and to a degree in the CL. I believe he will do that.
Best thing Sp**s can do, is keep Ange and help him build his team. They will be better off with him, than they’ve ever been before. (SA Gunner)
  • As much as I love this loss, wouldn't write this lot off. They are building something different this season and possibly long term.
  • They're no different to Villa, West Ham or Everton, smaller fanbase even yet they think they're big boys because of a couple also ran placements.
  • They dont even play that good football. The only reason they get praised on here is because certain posters like to be edgy sometimes.
  • Cheers Son’s crying. Nice one
  • Wettest guy in London, makes Zinchenko look like a hardened vet
  • Soft as hell this guy, crying all the time, what type of captain is this?
  • The type that suits Sp**s.
Soft, gutless & scores a ton of irrelevant goals
  • Finally Sp**s play some Ange's style of football. Fast, short forward passing (like a wave moving forward) and then cutbacks from the box. First time they have played it at Sp**s. They should have won at least 6 - 1.
They have scored first goal in last 6 games, but lost 4 of those and drew 1. It is a problem with Ange teams that there is a big drop off in 2nd half. If you looked at the stats at Celtic between 55-75th minute they would drop off significantly as players tire. Thinks its happening at Sp**s too, and given the high risk nature, errors lead to goals. Difference is opposition were not good enough in Scotland to take advantage of it. Needs to improve the squad so you can make changes without the drop off.

This is a very RAWKish comment.
Goon fanbase is all in on the corruption conspiracy theory. A group chat I'm in had over 100 messages about the disallowed goal the other day being wrong, and how they are being screwed over.
I pointed out the 3 or 4 red cards they should have had this season that were not given and didn't get a single reply...

Smaller fanbase than West Ham , Villa and Everton? Does he really believe that? It's about the same if you add those 3 together.

Yeah but a lot of theirs are starters though. It’s how we were a couple of weeks back.
I make it 3 starters (Burn, Botman, Willcock/Tonali), same as us, but ours are 3 of our most important players. Their problem is depth, and because they are in Europe and we aren’t they can’t get away with playing the same guys every game

Its not clear, but I think he means Newcastle
No, it was in the Let's All Laugh at Tottenham thread. It was posted after the West Ham game.

Full conversation was this

Their fans have to be masochists, they just are always the club that thinks they are a big club but never win anything or really threaten even for league
Really on the media their whole situation, been gassed up by pundits so many times they started to believe the horseshit written about them. They're no different to Villa, West Ham or Everton, smaller fanbase even yet they think they're big boys because of a couple also ran placements.

I count 4 for them, maybe even 5 - Pope, Botman, Burn, Willock, Tonali. You could argue only one of Willock and Tonali would start though. Pope is a tough one for them to take, and I think the drop in quality to Dubravka showed yesterday.

In comparison I'd say VdV, Maddison and Bentancur would be starters from our pool of injuries, while you could make a case for either Perisic or Solomon starting as well.

So about 3-5 players a piece then. I would say Bentancur, Maddison, VDV, Perisic are higher quality overall vs Pope, Burns, Botman, Willock and Tonali.

I don’t think Newcastle has any injury handicaps vs us, at best it’s about the same and quality wise our handicap maybe slightly higher. Do Newcastle even have any players of Maddison or Bentancur quality?
