I would mostly be cross with the club. If he wants to leave its because we haven't met his ambitions. Missing out on the champions league places was a massive error. We will always lose our best players if we're not in the top four.

I'll look forward to the new season without him. Players come, players go. Nothing I can do about it.

If his ambition is to play for Madrid tho then we are unable to meet those. I agree missing out on top 4 2 seasons running by 1 pt is a hard pill to swallow, for fans and players, but it's one thing being in the competition, it's another playing for a team that have a good chance of winning it... We can't meet that ambition just yet.

I would be sad to see him go, I will be pissed off if we leave it late too

We missed out on CL two seasons running, but not the top 4.

I'd be gutted for a few hours, like when Gazza finally moved and Ginola was sold for no good reason, then I would move on and look forward to new signings and a great season. COYS.

£100m and di maria please. If we take coentrao then we will get taken to the cleaners for a Bale 'replacement'. If we have a replacement already (i.e. Di Maria) then we can't be held to ransom. We'll pay a bit more for other players, but it won't be as bad as "surely a bale replacement must be worth at least £50m mr Levy".

Take the positives, count the money and move on. It's too painful to think of what Bale may have achieved with us had we not suffered such obscene bad-luck in regards to the Champions League over the past couple of seasons. I did feel, and still do, that Bale could lead us to something special in the coming years, I think that even the league title wouldn't be beyond our grasp with a talent like that in the team. But on the other hand I've convinced myself that a cash injection of roughly £100 million, a staggering amount of money, even post City, PSG etc, could see us seriously strengthen the team and the club overall. If it helps get the stadium built then I believe that there will be nothing stopping us becoming one of the richest and most powerful clubs in Europe in the near future. Arsenal are going to be serious contenders in years to come as the revenue from their stadium, now they're over the initial payment hump, coupled with fresh sponsorship deals, will see them coming closer to the types of numbers only Utd can boast. We're well placed to do the same, and if, somewhat perversely, selling Bale helps us get to that level, then I guess I can live with it.

We cant let him leave at short notice. We need 1 yr to prepare and find replacements. We have a title challenge this season.
