Ooh one that used to really get my blood boiling, was when Crouchie was still playing. And commentators would say..

Referee's not giving bookings for fouls that are certain card offences, just because it's early in the game.

People holding up banners asking for players shirts. We’ve seen twice in the last fortnight it escalating to kids running onto the pitch to confront players for whatever reason. No doubt egged on by their parents. Who in our case has been rightly banned.

I watched our league cup game against Wolves with no commentary, all you could hear was the crowd noise and honestly it was SO much better than having commentary over the top.

Worse for me is when refs refuse to award penalties for blatant fouls which they would always give if committed outside the area.

I just wanted to say, many thanks for this thread. It's a Godsend for grumpy old (and younger) gits like myself to have our spleens well and truly vented!

Players who wag their finger at referees, usually after committing a foul and giving a free kick away.

Players pointing to the ball after clearly scything through an opponent to get to the ball.

Defending players who run into the back of the player (who is going nowhere with the ball), pushing him over and then being shocked when they concede a free kick.

Sissoko was probably the most guilty culprit, but it happens all of the fucking time and I just don't understand how players haven't learned to stop pushing players in the back. Really winds me up.

Also players taking fucking forever to take a throw in when they're nowhere near the attacking third of the pitch. Just pick the damn ball up and get it back into play quickly before your teammates are all marked.
