this makes me sad every time i see this thread in my CP - i'm gonna unsub to it after this post...

makes me chuckle though - our two biggest games, the 5 - 1 Woolwich drubbing and, obviously, the cup final - Teemu was instrumental in both games, played like a warrior in both, had some of the best players i the prem in his pocket and had the crowd singing his name in both matches.

I just don't understand how it's so easy to ignore such a hardworking midfielder when we've got so few teeth there recently

makes me sad.

TEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEMUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!

You retire your thread RSS - I shall retire my shirts with Tanio's name emblazoned on the back, with honours.

There is always an unsung hero, unrecognised for the labour and the toil with a splash of scintillating skill here and there. Teemu is that player.

I'm off to get the shirts framed.

TT is a great squad player when fit. It is a shame he is underused.
If would have been used more we all know what would have happened....

Shame he didn't receive a good send off on Sunday, he deserved that at the very least. Wonder if Jol will take him, now he's at Hamburg?

I don't understand why this rumour of him being made of glass came from - he's no more or less injuries than the rest of the squad, just the difference being that most of his were earned on the field, not during training.

He never pulls out of a challenge and would stick his boot into a wood-chipper if the ball was in there, yet people get all pissy when he picks up a knock or two.

I would bet money he'd improve his strength and fitness levels given regular football - if he can step into the breach and play like he did in, arguably, the two most important games of our season in the end, after not really featuring for more than a few appearances prior says a lot about his natural passion and ability and is something that is often overlooked.

NOW i'm gonna unsub to it - forgot last time, but i'm off to bed now.

Don't go Teemu :(

He always worked really hard on pitch and was better than Zoko IMO! But even when he was fit he was ruled to the sidelines a lot. i can understand if he wants to go and play elsewhere but I'll miss him for sure...

Perhaps Ramos is simply thinking TT isn't good enough for a team which tries to get into the top 4? And like I've said many many times before, TT is too average for reaching that goal. Yes he is a good squad player, yes he gives always all he has etc. etc. But to be honest he has perhaps 1-3 great games per season, rest he is injured or just average. Sure Ramos wants more.

I'm not happy if he goes, but at the same time not disappointed at all if he does go. Just wishing the best for him where ever he plays in the future.

And Zokora is that player..? Or Jenas? TT was much better than those two...IMO. But life goes on. Very proud of him as Finnish Spurs supporter, just as TT is himself. Hope we will get top class DM with Modric as AM:up:

Here is the interview in finnish where Teme says he has told the club that he wants to leave...

I'd love him to stay, but I just don't think JR's gonna use him. Not properly anyhow. If I was a manager of any of the lower half Prem teams, I'd be champing at the bit to have him in my team.

I think he'll go to Sunderland.

As my favorite player I really really hope this is all paper talk and Teemu doesn't go. I very much doubt that he would put in a transfer request to leave the club he loves, and from what I heard (how ever true it is) that Teemu wants to stay at Spurs for the remainder of his career and stay at the club once he finish playing apparently he already helps out with the youngsters....

Either way however much I want him to stay and I know deep down he will be leaving the moment the transfer window opens

That sound like a nice scenario, problem is, and we all know it, while we love him for his grit and guts, he just isn't good enough to push us forward enough, mainly due to constantly getting injured. And he is constantly getting injured due to his grit and guts. So for him to play more regular would mean sacrificing a big part of his game.

So, he will probably go, and hopefully come back in when he retires and take on a coaching capacity. Can imagine Teemu being a really good coach, he has the right sort of mentality.

I do have to agree with you and that's what i said when i found that information out, I know he will go but as I said to my friends on sunday when the told me this again that I don't know any footballer wether a fan of the club or not that would be happy to spend the majority of the time on the bench even if he wants to do coaching or not

obviously in the ideal world Teemu would be fully fit and play regualry or at least be happily on the bench to be called on whenever he is need but it wont happen which is a shame

Hi all, first post here...

I'll be sad to see Teemu go as I do like him as a squad player. Talk from a few people loosely connected to Spurs is that the club have already had preliminary discussions with Villa. Maybe rubbish but you never know.

Sorry to disappoint you. But he has had his transfer request. Theres a video interview in Finnish site MTV3, where he says that himself...
