It seems so long ago since we had a decent team, only last season really, but it seems like in another century. Remember beating chelsea, remember that "if only defoe scored game" at the bridge.
The top 4 dont have these up n down seasons, if they do they stay in the top 4.
I know the good times were years ago when all the pics were black and white, but we seem so close again now. We keep threatening dont we, but its always jam tomorrow, not today.

i know yiddo but hold on in there. ive supported the famout THFC since i was 9 (1992) and its always been a mixed bag. ramos and us need to finish this season as best we can thats the 1st thing. keeping berbatov is paramount. then we can look pre-season at who needs to go (if ramos dont rate them havin worked with them for 9 months) and who is available (as no-one will be this window of any great potential)

according to me we have got a decent team - the heroic 0-2 at City was as proud as I've been of Spurs sice maybe the 5-1 v Chelsea or the Gazza 3-1 v Arsenal

then there was the fantastic 6-4

the stacks of goals we've scored

semis in Carling last 32 UEFA all to play for etc etc

to be honest i don't think we are a top 4 team and top 5 with jol was a massive achievement with our side. we're a "just about manage europe" side at the mo.

we shouldn't even compare ourselves with the top 4.

:-D

But I assure you that at some point between now and the end of the season we'll go a run of 10 games without defeat and we'll all start comparing ourselves to the top 4 and find some stats that prove we are currently the 3rd best side in the country etc. It always happens, strangely usually when we have a run of fixtures that don't include top 4 sides.

I often think a lot of Spurs fans (and I'm not talking specifically about anyone in this thread - it's a general point) miss the good times when they're here becuase they're so busy moaning

I'm sure lots of people missed how good the early 70s were cos they were hung on the fact that Arsenal won the double in 71 etc

there have been so many good times this season

I've already mentioned quite a few of them - if people concentrate on negatives and worrying about the big 4 - those good times will pass them by

carpe diem - not keep on carping :)

I don't think things are that bad to be honest, we've had 2 very good years via the league but i've been a fan since 1992 and we've always really finished anywhere from 8th to 15th, we are 12th now and I think we will improve our league form now enough to get us back into the top 8 by the end of this season.

We are in the league cup semi, anything can happen there, we have a good chance in the UEFA and about to embark on hopefully a long run to the final of the FA cup so it's not all doom and gloom as some make out.

We have in Berbatov one of the most sought after strikers around and we are top scorers in the premiership with Keano the top scorer of 2007. It's not all bad when you look at it that way.

Have a little faith in Wendy, he'll sort out the backline in time. :)
