Why Adam may I ask?

He looks like a Spurs type of player and I think he is a quality midfielder, good attitude and not frightened to shoot when given the opportunity, also very good at set pieces and now has Premiership experience.
Plus we tried to buy him in January.

I don't think Jenas has any intention of moving on. He seems to have accepted his role as one of a number of central midfielders rather than a first choice pick as he used to be.
His personal life is quite settled and he enjoys life at the club. he won't be going anywhere soon folks.

I was strangely quite into the idea of Adam coming this Jan. We don't need busy ****'s as we have Palacios and Sandro. What we need is a CM who passes the ball really well, gets forward and creates chances and scores goals, whilst not being too much of a compromise. He has great vision and awareness and as a squad player would have been an upgrade on people like Ohara and maybe even Huddelstone and Jenas in terms of what he could offer us creatively. He's certainly more mobile than Huddelstone and passes the ball just as well.

He's a good player all right, I wouldn't be adverse to it whatsoever.

But I think our midfield options at present are excellent, I really do. More goals from central midfield would be a big plus though -thats something which has defnitely been lacking.

Only because of Hudd's injury though surely? I very much doubt we'll try again.

You would think it probably was to cover Hudd's injury, but he does have the look of a Spurs player...

I wouldn't be overly surprised either way in terms of trying again or not.

Jenas has had a bloody good season, but no matter how well he plays people will never change their minds about him:roll:

If Jenas was playing for another team we would be interested in buying him.

I'd to see Adam Johnson come here. A quality player. Charlie Adam has a great touch and is a bit of a magic man. I would think we could get him to be 10-15% fitter because he never looks quite fit for Blackpool. Regardless of how Harry is as a man manager. we do have too many midfielders. Those who unhappy such O'Hara and Bentley should go. We may struggle to keep Krankjar. Jenas hasn't made any noises about leaving and seems to know his place in the pecking order. He has generally done well when called upon and I see no reason to ship him out.

Not sure Johnson is an improvement on what we all ready have.

Charlie Adam would struggle to get a game when all are fit. He'll probably struggle to get on the bench.

Krancjar is has great technique, but his chronic lack of pace prevents him from stamping down a place in the team, so he'll probably move on, which is a shame, as he's proved to be valuable cover and impact sub.

Harry, rotate? I think it's an alien concept to him. It's a shame because some good players will leave if he doesn't change his ways.

Yeah rotation is always great (please see p45 obtained by benitez)

Id infact say that we rotate quite a bit. You have your nailed on starters when fit:

GK Gomes
LB Ekotto
CB King/Dawson/Woodgate
CB Gallas/Kaboul/Bassong
RB Corluka/Hutton

LM Bale
CM Palacios/Hudd/Sandro
CM Modric
RM Lennon
CAM VdV
ST Defoe/Crouch/Pav

So 5 out of the 11 position are ones in which I see no nailed on starter. As for the 6 players who I think will play come rain or shine... Those 6 players are all class players who provide the base of what we are all about.

We rotate our CB's/CM's more than anybody in the league. This is mostly due to injury/match fitness I agree, but it still shows that we have a manager who has inherited/accumulated a great squad of players.

I'm all for Jenas now he isnt the man we rely on. Absolutley brilliant squad player, and he's been our best player a couple of times this season! If he can accept he isnt going to start every game then we'd be mad to sell him.

I would say it's between Huddlestone, Jenas, Palacios and Sandro for the two central midfield positions and between Lennon, Bale, Van Der Vaart, Modric, Kranjcar and Pienaar for the attacking midfield positions.

Unless someone really good becomes available I can't see how we can improve on that.
