TRIX - COYS- AGAIN:

We have at least 7-8 to get rid of as is(without those two). We have to draw a line somewhere, and the ones that are willing to learn and take MP's ideas on board will be kept around.
I could definitely see players like Paulinho and Soldado staying this summer.

We need to get rid of the main troublemakers and players in the cold first, the likes of Kaboul, Capoue, Lennon, Adebayor. Maybe Chiriches and Townsend will also be sold but other than that I think we'll have another season for some.

Maybe if he dropped the "inho" and was just plain old Paul I could handle this news better.

In all seriousness, he has been decent the last few times I've watched him.

So if we are saying that 8 are to go, and my list is as below:

Kaboul
Chiriches
Fazio
Capoue
Stambouli
Paulinho
Dembele
Holtby
Lennon
Townsend
Lamela
Soldado
Adebayor

Not all to blame but wouldn't be sad to see the back of any of them.

Who else gets to stay? It would have to be at least 5 off the list above.

If he's saying Paulinho will stay fair enough (I don't think he should but there we go). I suspect Lamela would be on that list (for better or worse).

Can we honestly find another three that we'd be happy to keep?

Stambouli hasn't done anything wrong, so I'd be happy if he was still here provided he wasn't expected to be first choice (although Poch appears to hate him).

Ummmm...Townsend helps with our homegrown quota?

Chiriches is funny?

Nope...it's too hard.

1. Ade or Soldado
2. Townsend
3. Dembele
4. Paulinho
5. Capoue
6. Chiriches
7. Kaboul
8. Lennon
9. Holtby
10. Carroll

10 players we could sell, and not miss a beat.

If we keep Soldado - we don't need another pure striker
1 CB to replace Kaboul/Chiriches
1 CM to replace Paulinho/Capoue
1 AMC to replace Dembele (this assumes Pritchard comes in a AML)
1 AMR to replace Townsend

If we had other replacements lined up, I could see also selling Fazio and Stambouli.

The reality is we are going to have many more out than in, including players out on loan. I think we will have a smaller club next year 22-23 players in the first team, with a few others from the U21 squad around the team.

People actually think we're gonna sell 10 players? I'd be astonished if we managed to agree price then said player agreed contract with new club for more than 6 players.
We sell 10-12 players, there's not a chance we'll be signing say 8-9 players and Pochettino simply won't wanna put himself in that situation.

Wouldn't surprise me if it's this and nothing more out:

Kaboul
Chiriches
Capoue
Dembele
Lennon
Townsend
Soldado (loan)

If the likes of Paulinho and Soldado hang around that tells us everything we need to know about their mentality, that they are more than happy to do the bare minimum to earn their fortune. A career of a footballer is pretty short so why the hell would you want to lose 3 years of it not playing? I suppose they're happy to go to work for a couple of hours a day at a plush training centre in probably the best City in the world, whilst picking up extraordinary wages for what their talent deserves. Surely if they had a miniscule of ambition they'd be the first at Levy's door asking to be moved on.

Keep

Hugo
Rose
Dier
Mason
Bentaleb
Kane
Eriksen
And I guess Chadli
And at a push Vertonghen even though he's a truly awful defender.

Everyone else is for sale.

These posts just keep getting more ludicrous by the day.

The Telegraph is again reporting (Matt Law) that we have only paid 13 million up front for Soldado, and the next 13 million werent guaranteed
So, as he isn't in the poll and also not mentioned in the OP as a 'goner', everyone is like me and sees Khumalo as an integral part of our future..?

:cautious:

Khumalo has confirmed that he will be released this summer on the Spurs Official website...

Or the manager rates them?
Or we cannot get we want for them?
Or?

Stop jumping to conclusion.

Before we think of getting rid of players. Firstly it is most important that MoPo will still be here after next season. To me, there is no point of getting new players who are more suited to MoPo and to see him gone in the next 1 year or so. Coz this will see the cycle of short changing continues. If Levy, do not intend to support MoPo 100% till the next 2 years, i rather we have these same players and those that are already bought (Dele Alli and Wimmer?) to be in the team and upgrade 1 or 2 Academy players to the First Team squad (minus Pritchard. Who i think should challenge Eriksen).

Those players who are not in MoPo plans to have their contract run out (if they are not able to be sold). This is most prudent/sensible, if MoPo is "gone" and a new manager (who is 180 degrees in his footballing believes that of MoPo) comes in. At least then the "transition" will no need to be long and painful. But from recent history, the club would sell some of its top players (Like Lloris), making the "transition" more difficult. :(

Or they are on the lower end of the "Get Rid" list and not as big priorities as other players.
Or maybe they believe in their own ability to try and break into the first team.

Above all - Soldado. It's not that we'll be getting much in return, it's that we have to free up that spot of a second striker. We have to move forward. Right now, every time I am watching him I'm thinking "OK, for some reason, it didn't work out at all for that guy - when is the replacement coming?". We have to move forward, we can't cling to our past mistakes (if you could even call it that) hoping that they will come out good eventually. Take the bitter pill, admit that it didn't work out and move on.

Paulinho - I am not sure, but maybe we should sell him. Doesn't seem to have the right attitude or even skills?

Lamela - I am totally undecided. With him, I am actually still clinging to the hope that he will turn out to be a Bale 2.0. I probably just don't want to admit that he will simply never be a replacement for Bale for us... I guess his young age and high fee (both not his fault) created these high expectations which he did not match.
