Seriously, though. Is he going to be out longer than we had been led to believe?
I don't think any information has come out that would lead anyone to believe that. We all knew that Kaboul would most likely be back in the New Year, so we shouldn't get much of an update for another 2-4 weeks I'd imagine (when he begins to train or is getting set to begin).
It's funny, but in a way, Kaboul's injury can almost be considered a blessing in disguise. That might be a little heavy use of the phrase (We have really missed him by having to play Gallas), but getting Caulker all this time will be huge for us in the long run and that most likely wouldn't have happened if Kaboul was healthy. We know we have quality between Caulker and Verts so when Kaboul comes back, we can feel comfortable rotating Kaboul/Caulker/Verts and Gallas can be where he should stay: 4th-choice CB.
