Barry for Zoko, been said by others but I agree.

My lack of knowledge from other leagues prevents me from choosing Gordon Dzeko (greed is good for a striker) or others mentioned. I'm impressed by others knowledge of players in different leagues and find it interesting to read about, keep it up but I have to ask......how do you have the time, what do you do for a living, I assume you don't have a wife and kids?

IDK about everyone else, but I can't see Keane, Defoe, Bent/Pav and Crouch getting us in to the CL. We need to find another gem, and sign him fast!

Sorry Joey, no I haven't.

Since you are here, however, is your sig actually a real post from spursking....hilarious!

And why does everyone want to swap Zoko......who will we laugh at if he goes?

Yes, it really is.

↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ Think this team would actually pay for itself with the players that would be sold. ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓

would like to see Barry in for Zokora out, not that I hate Zoks - its just a very good upgrade. And i'd like us to keep JJ, and Thudd..

I'd like to see someone take Gilberto's place in the squad, haven't got a clue who tho, but an experienced left back, who can play left mid too..

And a big hold up striker for prob Bent, we have Defoe so I dont really see the point of having Bent, but we do need a big hold up striker - again i'm not sure who, Dzeko, Gomez, Pizzaro maybe (doubt they would sell to us tho), but i've only seen these guys rarely so thats kinda guess work.

Hangeland would not leave to become our sub when he could probably get first team football for the goons or villa. In fact playing week in week out for fulham with Europa football is a more attractive option than our bench. I know the King situation makes things a little different, but I really can't see why one of the EPL's best defenders would be happy to play second fiddle.

Our defence ought to be fine with Dawson there, and Corluka more than able at centre-back - just as long as we keep hold of Hutton

Anyone who watches La Liga will know hoe good Emana has been for Betis, think it will go to one of the Spanish giants though his form has been that good

He has been outstanding. Was touting him as a potential signing last summer. Very much in the Redknapp mould in terms of signings.

he used to play for tolouse?

I was talking about Emana two years ago:

Improving on Jenas would be fucking hard to do realistically. I really wish we'd persuaded Tiago to come from Juve. Finding someone dynamic enough to play CM in a 442, who would actually improve our creativity without sacrificing energy and solidity that Jenas provides really means we are only shopping from the top shelf ?

Cambiaso is a fantastic player, but like Jenas probably doesn't score or get into the box enough. Better passer though and very dynamic. But no chance.

Barry, Crouch, Johnson won't get us a top 4 challenge.

Barry should improve our midfield but not to the level needed (imo not near carrick's level and definitely not anywhere near xabi - though we can't attract better tbh, even barry is probably out of our reach).

Crouch has worked well with Defoe before but i'm still hesitant about him, unless he's improved as much as Defoe under Harry. I suppose they'd be improvements though, at least Crouch is better than Pav.

We are much shakier in the LB position than at RB, where Corluka and Hutton are both solid (Hutton not so much this season, but he was decent last season and perhaps needs to get back to match fitness) and even Gunter can defend competently.

Meanwhile we have no decent cover for BAE atm, I don't trust Bale there at all and I cringe when I think of Chimbo there.

I also really worry about what we'll do if King and Woody get injured at the same time, because we have been very lucky this season but should keep in mind that they both have poor injury records.

Corluka + Dawson are too slow a CB pairing, our backline would be pushed too deep and i think we need a pacy CB to cover.

I'm not sure about Ledley's situation, but to be safe I would assume he'd be out for most games, which leaves us with 3 CBs - Woody, who's also injury-prone, Dawson, and Corluka, who isn't a natural CB imo. Even Villa have 4 senior CBs and 2 prospects in the first team. If we're unlucky with injuries next season and it costs us, it could really be a chance missed that we'll regret later.

In my Dreams -

1.) Barry - Unlikely, but would be a fine addition/captain to our midfield.
2.) Dzeko - Looks the goods, although will probably go to a CL club.

Likely targets -

1.) Crouch - Would be good with Defoe, wouldn't be to unhappy if it happened.
2.) Glen Johnson
3.) Chris Brunt

Hope not -
1.) RSC
2.) K. Jones

Outs - Chimbomba, Bentley, one of Pav or Keane, Hutton (although I like him)
