Seen people talk up the fella at Sevilla known as Monchi aka Ramon Verdejo
I don't think his style would work in England. The work permit rules are very different to Spain, which means young South Americans are more difficult to sign.

Sevilla don't/haven't had many South Americans. they buy from across Europe: Ligue 1, la liga, Russia, etc.

Monchi just knows how to pick players

Actually, if you look at it, two of their biggest sales over his time there have been Julio Baptista (signed from Sao Paulo, sold to Real Madrid) and Dani Alves (signed from Bahia, sold to Barcelona). Neither of whom would have been allowed to move to England at the point in their careers. There are plenty of other players they have signed from outside of Europe (far more from within, true..), but it's a huge advantage when searching for bargains with potential, which was their model. English clubs may monitor players in SA but can rarely sign them directly.

Not sure what the actual answer to this thread is, though, and probably no one on the forum does either.

Good point, I agree.

Also these guys:
Bacca from Belgium
Rakitic from Schalke
Vidal from almeria
Krychowiak & gameiro from small Ligue 1 clubs

All great buys and sold for massive profits

He's one hell of a recruiter!!

Les Reed from Southampton, I think this is probably the guy we should have taken when we brought in Mitchell. His record there since Poch left has been amazing.

Apparently there's very strong rumors that he's off to Italy for Roma and that an agreement has been reached. Regardless of whether this comes to fruition, I doubt he'll be coming to us.

Edit: I was referring to Monchi

I haven't seem anyone mention this either. Looks like we've lost a few recently, including Mackenzie

He runs a company. When he saws 'we', I think he is referring to a deal with between his company and Spurs.
