Bring back Gerry Francis. Anyone who can maintain such an immaculate mullet defying age, fashion and flying in the face of the nay-sayers is clearly a genius and a maverick

Good shout. Looking at him today, he's clearly a man who has a decent understanding of the concept of width and will make sure our strikers are well fed.

And it's not as if we ever lost by 6 clear goals under Gerry, did we, apart from on Tyneside, but hey, that was then. And if he's shit, we can always bring in George Graham and Glenn Hoddle. Oh, FFS, I'm depressed and off to bed. Night all.

OK its hypothetical but bear with me.

If Levy proves himself to be a testicularly bereft munchkin and sacks AVB, he should maybe consider hiring Chuck Norris. I mean, think about it.........He could be fired three games later without anyone even knowing it. MIA6.

I think Mancini would take a relatively high profile job in the Prem....Given how it ended for him at City, I reckon he'd be desperate for another crack.

How does Sturridge and Suarez in any way equate to Defoe and Soldado? You couldn't have chosen a more disparate pair of strikers so I'm not sure how that supports your point in any way? I don't care where the manager is from, or whether he's a Spurs legend, I just want the best for the club. And that is not Glenn fucking Hoddle.

it was an example mate!!! 1 upfront isnt working!!

Listen brake it down a bit! AVB inherited a football team that was playing attractive stunning football, a team under H that tbfb didnt have a plan b, and a manager that wasnt backed!

Its not hard to see we ran out of steam and lost vital games in the run in, and tbf we wasnt the only team...So you would think a new manager would just need to address this issue, its not exactly rocket science!! the resources AVB has had, the money he has spent you would of thought we would of addressed our weaknesess. I cant for the life of me understand why he thought buying 9 players to replace 1 was in anyway going to work, we needed 4-5!!! his obsession with the Europa is a joke.

We lost Bale 1 fucking player!!, we always needed cover on the wings, 100mill for a top class LW, ST, LB, creative midfielder a magician so to speak is what we needed, now we have a squad that is rotated so much they dont know there arse from there elbow, lets not forget the 50 he spent before that on Verts Dembele etc its a travisty he has totally forgotten plan A to try and instill a plan B, its absolutely crazy. You also dont bring in a 21 year old foreigner for 30mill to replace Bale, when the poor kid doesnt even play LW! quality player and will be immense in a years time but not on the left, Chadli tbf from what ive seen would be a good back up, but hasnt got the pace of a lennon townsend bale.

The argument will carry on, but i tell you what AVB is on borrowed time, and he only has hiself to blame for this mess, cause it is a mess mate, its a royal fuck up!!

at some point in time
Jurgen Klinsmann will arrive

That would be a complete and utter disaster. Klinsmann's management approach is to build from the ground up (as he did with Germany, is currently doing with the US and tried to do at Bayern). Boards of directors and fans are too impatient to wait for a long term project like youth development to bear fruit.

Personally, I'd be discussing a contract right now with Mr Klinsmann to take over immediately the Yanks fall out of the World Cup (that is give AVB until the end of the season).
As an American, Klinsmann would produce similar issues. Also, ask a Bayern or Germany supporter what they think of him. They would say he has a lot of passion and looks good but tactically, nothing special. Pretty stubborn and defensive too. He wouldn't be the answer.

Rudi Garcia would have been perfect for our side. I could rave about the Lille side that won the Ligue 1 all day and he's doing similarly well at Roma.

I'm tempted to say Bielsa, if only for the fact that we would be one of the most exciting teams in the league again. At the end of the day, after all the platitudes spewed about giving AVB time or waiting for things to come, I haven't been truly wowed by us in his entire reign as manager. My love affair with football, beginning with awakening like a child on Christmas morning, pacing around my house excited just to see us play, celebrating wildly when we score, etc.. It's all gone. AVB is the parasite that takes the beautiful girl you were in love with and turns her into a shell of her former self.

Anyways, what about Lucien Favre?

Bielsa is unemployed.

Lars Lagerbäck from Sweden would also be an alternative. Maybe not the most famous manager, but he's good at tactics and in motivating his players. When he was manager for the swedish national team, he qualified us to every single World Cup and Euro Championship. Pretty good considering that we are a small nation. He almost qualified Iceland to the World Cup next year. They are one of the smallest countries in Europe. Pretty impressive.

He's like a more tactical version of Redknapp. And he won't talk crap in the media.

If AVB does get sacked

Diego Simeone - He wants to come to the PL and was thinking about Chelsea but they didnt even sniff at him. Would he come? Worth asking but he is in a title fight and imo is this season's dortmund in the CL. They are in the CL hunt.

Poccetino - Been very impressed and he had a bit of press hate but he has turned around especially with his use of the Southampton youth team.

De Boer - Worked with 1 or 2 of our players and has philosophy that he will stamp on the club

Mancini would be great for us right now i think. We dont have any lines in our game. and mancini knows how to build the team from start. Think that he did a great job with city and could have a balance between offensive football and defence.

He's doing very well for Iceland too.
