Why so many people leave 10 mins early?

As soon as Leicester scored about 1/5th of the ground made for the exit?

There we 10 mins left and stoppage time. Disgusting.

Agreed. Stay to the end. Never know what will happen. The stadium emptied so quickly the Leicester fans started singing 'is this a fire drill?'

I go to about 1 in 2 home games and will always stay until the end but I live near enough to the ground and will never begrudge anyone who doesn't and has been at work all day, gone directly from work to the game, and paid between 50 and 100 pound to watch the team get beat 0-1 in the last five minutes the opportunity to nip out and try and beat the crush and therefore get home pre midnight before getting up at 6 to go directly to work again.

Weekends are different, no excuse.

My favourite early leaver was a chav next to me in the 2-2 against Hull in the league cup a couple of seasons back. Came too late to see Sigurdsson's screamer, spent all game on his phone, left 15 minutes early at 1-1 (in the league cup!). Thus missing another two goals, plus the longest penalty shoot-out ever, which we won of course.

Over the years more and more people leave earlier and earlier. I can't understand it and find it a little embarrassing

We are supposed to be ’supporters’

When we play really well and have a good result there are still only about 10k clapping the team off at the end. Shit really

it will only get worse when we have a bigger stadium and no improved transport links.Couple of people left after 70 mins in front of me.

It's their time and money, they can do whatever they want. Also have you seen the traffic around the Lane before and after matches? It is bloody ridiculous.

Cant blame anyone for leaving early on a weekday. Last night it was apparent that we could have played another 50 minutes and not scored.

Think @oskathegobshite has it right.

Would think the decision has nothing to do with not wanting to watch the last 5-10mins but being aware that the crush for WHL station or Seven Sisters can result in you not getting home till gone midnight (personal record for me was getting home @1am after a midweek cup game that went to extra time and pens)

I'm from Kent so only at risk of missing the last train if it's extra time & pens but I can appreciate that 5mins can save a good half hour in the scramble to catch the last train (WHL isn't good for transport links)

1. It was raining
2. The stations are miles away
3. It's more crowded when everyone leaves, which, when compounded with points 1 & 2, makes for a very shitty walk.
4. People have work the next day and probably worked that day too.
5. It's their choice
6. Spurs played like ****s. So by leaving early, maybe the club take note and answer pressing questions, like why the hell Tom Carroll is still in the first 11?

This.

I left after 25 minutes last night, but I feel as fresh as a daisy this morning.

I left on 90 mins. It was cold, it was pissing down, I'd been at work since 7:30 and it takes me 90 mins to get home... mostly standing squished on a tube with similarly wet, tired, coughing and spluttering sods. And I'm back at work at the same time today with a slight temperature after walking in the shitty weather last night. So yeah, I got a jump on the crush for the loos and the trains, while the players get into their Ferrari's and drive back to their luxury mansions to shag some fit bird.

Because not everyone lives in london and if you have to commute out you'll miss your last train because 8pm kick offs are a nightmare
