I always stay til the end but I can understand leaving a few minutes early when the alternative is standing outside white hart lane station for 40+ minutes in the pissing rain and cold listening to the Leicester fans singing non stop on the high road.

Combination of frustration, disappointment and the traffic? Having said that, I never left a game early.

They only came for Tom 'The Lord Saviour' Carroll.

I generally leave on 90 minutes when they hold the injury time board up. Even that 3 or 4 minute head start on the hoard helps.

Surely if you pay to see the game you should watch all of the game. It's the same for people who miss part of the first or second half to grab something at half time. The whole point of you going out in the first place is to see the game so that should be your priority. So what if it takes a while to get back. If it's such a big problem don't bother going in the first place. Fuck work too, Spurs are more important. So what if you don't get a lot of sleep for a job you probably don't care about. Man the fuck up and get behind the team.

I hide behind the seat and don't leave until I am physically removed by the night watch about midnight

Your all mad what's this hoard you are all on about and what traffic

1. It was raining
2. The stations are miles away
3. It's more crowded when everyone leaves, which, when compounded with points 1 & 2, makes for a very shitty walk.
4. People have work the next day and probably worked that day too.
5. It's their choice
6. Spurs played like ****s. So by leaving early, maybe the club take note and answer pressing questions, like why the hell Tom Carroll is still in the first 11?
It may be their choice but it still annoys me that I have to keep standing up every 5 seconds to let someone past when I'm trying to watch the match. People that want to stay have to work too!

The stations aren't miles away and trains run every 15 minutes so you are still going to end up standing in a crowded carriage unless you left, say, 20 minutes early.

I've got an idea. If so many people are leaving games early why don't we just finish our games earlier too. Play for 80min rather than 90min. That way everyone's happy, right? (y)

At perhaps my first ever match at WHL my uncle took me out ten minutes early with the score 1-0 against Shef Utd.

By the time we were out it was 4-0, I think a Paul Walsh hat trick.
I have never left early since...

You pay to watch 90 minutes, injury time is free :p

I reckon I never left early once in over 30 years until other things became more important. For example my grandson. If I take him to a night game and he has school the next day leaving a few minutes early can see us home 30-45 minutes sooner. His mum would rather I got home as soon as I can on schoolnight or not take him to night games. So I do it.

Another time I had business to attend to, i'd been in Birmingham and was literally passing on the way back to I stopped by, watched the first half and buggered off at half time so that I could still do what needed to be done. I don't habitually leave early, but when I have to, or think its best to, then that's what i'll do.

Sorry internet forum strangers if that isn't the done thing :p

I've done my time and I can tell you now, Spurs ain't more important. That'll give the rabid fanatics the itch :cautious:

I leave when I want
I leave when I waaaaaaant
I'm A&C-e-e-e I leave when I want :woot:

People we're leaving early today too. Perhaps wanted to be in bed by 4pm to get 40 hours sleep and be fresh for work on Monday?
