Why we wear Puma?

There is a story today about Joe Lewis and his missus splitting up etc.
However the most interesting point for me was that Mr Lewis is the sole distributer of Puma sports wear. Could this be why we have Puma as our kit manufacturer?
I havn't read it anywhere else,can anyone enlighten me on this?

It is. Both companies are based in Herzogenaurach, Bavaria.

Puma is owned by Dassler. Lewis's co has the rights to distribute their products

I can see the kit now, a long sleeve t shirt with a design of a suit printed on top and all player coming out of the tunnel looking to the left for no damn reason :grin:
