@SkySportsAmy: Bony's agent says player will stay at Swansea: "Bony is happy in Swansea and will gladly do his best to be even better than last season".

OR, and stick with me here, the people in charge of our club are doing what the guy in charge of the actual team each week has requested?

None of us know what's going on behind the scenes, or what has been asked of our board by our head coach. So perhaps that should be taken into account before blindly laying any unnecessary blame at the feet of anyone?
They obviously know we are short up front which is why they were in for Welbeck today our issue with scoring goals has been obvious since last season and we fail to address it so in my book that's a fail... They are all at fault if this screws the season.. I'm not sure why Levi hires managers and then fails to deliver their number one targets. We have the money again we finish a window with a positive net even though we get an extra 30 million season from TV

Look, I really DO understand your viewpoint, I just don't think it's fair (or right) to lay the blame at the feet of anyone in particular. Yes there's the extra £30mil of TV money, but the £450mil stadium isn't going to pay for itself & I'm sure you wouldn't want us to build a new stadium and then not be able to improve the team on the pitch because of the cost of the debt created by the new stadium?

Remember all those years of mocking Gooners because they were unable to sign anyone for more than £2.50 because they had the stadium debt? Do you wan that to be us?

Yeah because it's a piece of piss to build a stadium in one of the most congested & built up areas in London, as well as being the poorest area in London. It's not been at all difficult to consult with hundreds of business owners because we want to build where they currently reside. And all of those businesses have happily agreed to step aside & allow us to build, and haven't at all had one of those owners battling for years to remain on their current plot of land.

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Actually thats an interesting point with regard to the stadium I read a very interesting article which basically explained the reason Arsenal were not spending money was because their American owners deposited the huge income they now make from Arsenal in the USA so they can finance loans to do dealings in other businesses.. If they were interested just in the Arsenal football side there would have been no issue buying big players and paying back the stadium.
Arsenal is basically Stanley Kroenke`s cash cow..

Arsenal have a match day income of 70 million a year more than Spurs do, they opened the stadium in 2006 and finshed paying for it this year I think so something like 550 million of income during that period just from gate receipts, way more than the cost of the stadium.

I would hope that we would not be so tight with funds as Arsenal were during the pay back period..

don't think we were in for Bony, we were never gonna meet his buy out clause.

This, and I think it was entirely dependent on shifting Ade, who we had no takers for. Having both Ade and Bony had the potential to leave us extremely exposed come the ACoN.
