Would be madness to have two african centre forwards in a ACN year. In January we would be down to one forward for what is probably the time of year when we pick up most injuries. I'd stick with what we have for now unless someone exceptional came available to replace and better what we have.

People who think we will have Soldado, Ade and Bony in the squad are pretty deluded. Especially as in Pochs system we will only play 1 up front. It's hard enough to keep top level strikers happy in Ade and Soldado, let alone adding to the problem by bringing in Bony.

HOW MANY TIMES POCHETTINO DOES NOT ONLY PLAY ONE UP FRONT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Guys do some research and look at Southampton games from last season......... He mostly played LAMBERT and RODRIGUEZ and on a number of occasions played LAMBERT, RODRIGUEZ and OSVALDO before he started fighting his team mates!!

Rodriguez and Osvsldo played as wing forwards. It was never a straight 442

Yeah, and Southampton had almost no players that could play the attacking mid role, so of course he stuck strikers there. The fact he even stuck Steven Davis in that role for stretches just further goes to show that he wasn't sticking players like Osvaldo and Lambert there out of desire, but out of pure necessity.

We on the other hand have a plethora of options for the 3 behind the striker. Something which ebzrascal is willfully ignorant of.

I never said it was a straight 442 I said he played with 3 forwards in some games. At times it was more like a 433 I am making the point that Pochettino is flexible not just a one up front man. He likes a big man up front with attacking midfielders or support strikers who will run beyond them when they break up play high up the pitch..

hold on the played Lallana who is an attacking midfelder played in addition the Lambert and Rodriguiz in nearly every game!! Also the fact that he wants to bring in Rodriguez suggests he likes to play with an attacking striker and a attacking midfielder behind the main striker. Lallana scored 9 league goals and Rodriguez 15 goals last season..

Out of interest where do you guys see our goals coming from this season and who do you think at break 10 goals?

I think we need about 75 goals to be really pushing for the top 4 considering we still look a little open defensively.

I would like to see 10+ goals from... Adebayor, Soldado and 5+ goals from Holtby, Lamela, Eriksen, Paulinho, Townsend,Chadli,Lennon if we do that then another goal scorer would probably not be required but we will see...

You want strikers and say Poch's system has them getting worked pretty hard, but the CMs have it even worse. Schneiderlin who is an incredibly fit athlete admitted it's hard going after 60 minutes. The CMs also carry some of the highest distance travelled in the league statistics.

So if you're looking for options and guys to get subbed off due to fatigue it should really be the CMs.

So take a look at this stat top ten players who covered the most miles last season... Notice the which Southampton players are in the list... Interestingly two ex Spurs players are in there also... However I would think the Southampton players are covering their miles with greater intensity than most other teams as they are forwards where as every other high milers are center midfielders. This is why I think Pochettino would need a high number of Attacking midfielders and Strikers. Southampton suffered with not having great options off the bench to freshen things up. A club with the resources of Spurs should be able to better this situation...

We don't have an equivalent to Rodriguez or Osvaldo who can play the wide role. Neither Ade or Soldado have ever played that role in their entire career. They don't have the mobility or discipline to fulfill the position IMO.

Only Henderson plays for a top Club on that list, point being that we will not be chasing the ball for 90 minutes like 99% of the players(and respective teams) on that list.

You probably right which is why we need to sell Soldado if we don`t think he will be effective and replace him. But I think we do need a Wide Forward on the left.. If Townsend/Lennon step up maybe they can do that role but its a big if in my view as they just don`t score enough goals.. Lamela can do that role from the right

I'm sorry but I got slated here for saying Bony doesn't work hard...I'm now watching him again for the first time since the World Cup and I just don't see how you can disagree with what I said...he hardly even moves! Been stood in the center circle for about 5 minutes now!

If scores, he can stand as still as he likes...;)
