Do you think that Zaha is coming to Spurs to stay on the bench?
What your forgetting is son is off soon with his national team plus lorente can't manage to go over 5mph. Imagine bringing on Zaha to replace Kane when he's fucked from playing 70 mins. So many times we saw this last season and lorente having no impact after coming on. Im sure poch would give alot of game time to him if he came as he really wants to utilise him.

Yep, I'm in no way convinced about Zaha but he's a much better option than Son
How do you reckon that? Zaha has never broken 10 goals in a season, Son does that every season with less playing time.

The grass is always greener I say.. Son IS a tricky pacy winger (to the guy you were replying to). Zaha looks great in highlights but he's playing for Crystal Palace.. how many teams park the bus against Palace? Almost everyone does vs us..

Zaha is picked out by other teams to double or even triple up on sometimes on him because he's by far their most dangerous player and he's more of an unselfish creator to a fault, not a goalscorer. He doesn't shoot nearly as much as he could and if he did he would score considerably more no question, I suspect a lot of it is self confidence/self belief related because it looks like he doesn't think he's good enough when in those positions. He can take things from Son in being more direct, more efficient like when Son does a stepover, pushes it past and shoots with either foot which he can (although not as good as Son's weak foot) or push it inside and shoot on the edge of the box or just let go when he's in the box. He can learn that and with Poch's ability to take players to another level (again a lot of that seems to be self belief) Zaha would be an absolutely fantastic addition to this club.

Besides another talented, creative, tricky, quick, hard working and versatile goalscorer is very rarely a bad thing and when the club seem to want homegrown players? Plus one who's also been a long term target as the club have tried to get him in 2016, 2017 and now 2018 who Poch rates very highly? I'm failing to see the downside here.

Thanks for explaining this, i couldn't have done any better.

I have not been overly convinced by Zaha to date but I have a feeling he is on the verge of exploding into a top class player

With regard to Son far too often his first touch is absolutely awful and he blows hot and cold far too often.

I don't disagree with any of what you've said. My only concern was pursuing Zaha and not getting more depth in CM, which I think we need more than Zaha. But who knows, maybe we'll get both.. or neither. :)

75 million for Zaha? Like... wow.

I hate that this is the way football is going
Yeah, it’s crazy. Problem is, considering how desperate we are for a signing 75 mil for Zaha might sound reasonable in 5 days time. It’s not, and he is not worth it, but it won’t stop some thinking we should just pay it.

This is the dilemma it seems we're dealing with. Buy no-one but keep pretty much most of our squad from last year together or spend seemingly 75mil on a player like Zaha...

I want Zaha don't get me wrong and I know it's that on-going thing of 'It's not my money'... but 75 mil for Zaha just sounds... wrong.

Though this is a world that saw Everton spend 50mil on Richarlison so we're well beyond the crazy limit

True but £60m for a 29 year old centre back with a sketchy injury record and high wage demands would have been seen as obscene a while ago too, and kinda does now with him available for £25m next summer. I appreciate his is top drawer but still.

If Poch wants Zaha and he could be brought in for £10-20m more than our unwanted centre back I think I'd back it right now. I'd rather Martial but I also think Zaha would be very good for us.

75 mill is crazy money. Crazy. But if Richarlison is 50 mill, Ings 20 mill, Toby potentially 60 mill....

The main thing is what he's worth to Poch.

35 mill plus add on to take it to 50, and gylfi went for 45 mill. My point is that it's difficult to gauge what a players worth, but if Poch sees him as important then it maybe worth paying a premium.

Paying a premium ? Perish the thought.

We only expect a premium to be paid when we are the one doing the selling !

By all accounts he's the one Poch really wants - get that £60m from united and chuck it at palace with some add ons.

I don't care if a CM is more needed. If Poch really wants this guy then Levy needs to make it happen, Poch deserves to be backed more than any other manager in the league.
