Interesting that the telegraph have a article on the key moves to look out for ahead of deadline day, with them mentioning both us and Chelsea could make a late move for zaha

Palace move for Ings seems to have cooled, and there's a dispute over Ayew still. I wonder if they are keeping them in the back pocket in case Wilf goes.

Is it really interesting? We've both been linked to Zaha for most of the summer, it's hardly a revelation

My thoughts exactly. HG really plays a big factor in this too, if we can move VJ, Toby and sissoko on, we will be able to go for martial and a non HG CM. If we can't, then zaha makes sense, as there's really not that many HG CM's that I'd be happy to see us sign. Can see a domino effect happening as soon as someone leaves

Most newspapers and ITK have said he's staying at palace now. 1st one I've seen in a while mentioning us wanting to make a move for him

Sissoko is a big one, as GKN and Janssen I think we'd have ended up settling for loans on regardless. If Sissoko goes, along with Toby as expected we get that one free place. Then Llorente can be shifted cheaply if we bring in striker cover (only one year left), allowing for two new non-HG players.

Ive always thought Janssen and Nkoudou wont play anyhow so we will scrap them for little/ loan.

Sissoko and Lllorente are active members of the squad...genuine interest there and things shift.

£60m plus add ons is probably the market value. Toby out at £60m and Zaha in for something similar plus add ons would be an extremely good bit of business.

Deluded much.

We buying the other half too?

Let's just wait and see whether Palace are willing to walk away from circa £40m on deadline day. Might be us, might be Chelsea, but I reckon they'll cash in.

£75m isn't that crazy in the game. From us looking, Football has completely lost it in terms of economics and it's hard to comprehend the game has that much cash inflation in such a short period of time. Won't be long until these players are being valued at £100m tbh

Yeah, I don't think anyone really expected sissoko to leave this summer, more hope with most people. Selling him, llorente and Toby gives us more freedom to truly pick who poch wants, instead of being restricted to having to buy HG players at the expense of quality non HG

Sorry mate, Palace aren't selling their best player for 40mil on deadline day.

Fair to assume that with both Hazard and Willian staying - the incentive for CFC to splash serious cash on Zaha is reduced somewhat.

You think their star player and key to staying in the league is only worth £40m to them when Premier League TV rights are worth more than £100m per year?

Home grown.
One of Palace's best players.
Signed a 5 year year last summer.

Why would they accept a low (in their minds) offer on deadline day?

I guess we'll find out soon enough. If he really does have CL ambitions, he won't stay there for much longer. I know there's a premium to be paid when buying from within the PL, but that valuation is ridiculous. He's not going to go abroad, he won't go to City, or back to United and I can't see Liverpool bidding. That really only leaves us and Chelsea, as I don't think Arsenal need him either. Wouldn't be surprised if we lose out, just like Willian.

I think if its this window, its Chelsea, but I think he stays..and we will be back.

Of course, his price could go down with relegation and contract length, but honestly don't think Palace would consider below 60...Hes essentially worth whatever the price of staying in the league is to them.
