Turmoil hahaha.

We are heading into a brand new stadium, with a squad who have finished top 3 the past 3 seasons in a row. We have the world cup golden boot winner leading our strikeforce. A world cup winning captain. We are far from in “turmoil”

Lets look at other rivals:

Chelsea - ANOTHER new manager who has only had one signing but two of their big players are both linked with moves away.

United - Jose has already said he had a list of 5 players and he has none of them.

Liverpool - yep they have strengthened but then they have thrown money about since Klopp arrived and they still haven’t finished above us.

The premier league has become a lot tougher in the past 3/4 years yet we are one of the consistent clubs in terms of position. We still have 6 days left of the window, lets see if we can get some deals done before we all write off the season before we have even kicked a ball.

Please refer to the Pochettino thread with quotes from the man himself today saying we need to improve like our contenders. I'm sure he'd be over the moon with £50m Jorginho or Fred in his squad already this summer. Doesn't sound happy to me.

Turmoil is hyperbole but things are not rosey unless we have (what pretty much has to be) the best week in Spurs transfer history.

Are you not paying attention today? Poch is rightly displeased.

We’re in turmoil also. At this point, our manager and our top players are liable to leave next summer and i wouldnt blame them one bit.
Turmoil is if they left this summer. But they signed new long term contracts this summer.

We're not in turmoil but let's not sugar coat it, we're not looking great either. With the noises coming from Poch and ITK.

Much like last summer he'll be even more expensive next summer. If we want him move now. Same goes for Sessegnon, Grealish etc... the longer they remain at their current clubs their value will just continue to increase if the players keep producing. Zaha, Sessegnon and Grealish now for £150m is, ridiculously to say it, good business. And sorts HG quota.

Even if we offered better wages than Chelsea, Zaha may believe he would have more playing time at Chelsea, especially if Hazard is leaving.

You not read the last few pages? Regardless if you think Poch is happy about this... I don't even know what to tell you.

Poch is astute enough to know to wait and see where we are after 5.00pm on the last day of the Transfer Window unlike so many on here. Childish rants everywhere.

Obviously we're not in turmoil (yet!) however we are in danger of standing still which means going backwards if teams around us are improving. The hugely frustrating thing about this window thus far is just two or three top quality additions could make all the difference to our chances going into the new season. Just two or three. We're not talking major squad overhaul or bringing Bale back on £500k a week or anything like that. Just two or three sensible, obtainable high quality signings who can come and at the very least challenge for a position in our best starting 11. Zaha would seem to fit that remit which makes it all the more infuriating if we really have let this deal slip through our fingers.

There's still 6 days to go and it's sensible to reserve judgement in case there really is some grand scheme taking place behind the scenes. We shall see...

Anyone looking at the betting market on Zaha? In the past hour, there has suddenly been a massive shortening of the odds on him coming to Spurs. Best price now 13/8 (other layers going 5/4 and 6/4). Odds on him joining Chelsea are lengthening across the board.

Does someone know something?

Someone is going to tell you that transfer odds mean nothing in 3,2,1...

Very weird how they seem to fluctuate, especially with talksport spending all morning linking him to Chelsea who have thousands of listeners who probably like a flutter.

Only thing I see in the past few hours is Hodgson saying Wilf has given no indication he wants to quit etc:

Sarri has just come out and said Willian is most likely staying - maybe because of that? Idk
