Sorry but this is an absolute no brainer. Zaha is incredibly effective and would give us another option upfront. Imagine changing the game with Harry dropping deeper behind Richarlison and Zaha.

We would immediately be a completely different proposition to play against and that is ultimately what it’s all about. Having the options with quality players to make us play a different way to cause opposition teams problems.

Totally agree. He’d give us incredible squad depth and options.

Because Gil is going out? Zaha ticks 2 boxes, the replacement for Gil and homegrown slot.
He can play on the right too, no? So technically he'd be a replacement for Gil and cover for Kulu while being hg. Yeah, makes sense to me now too.

Of course he can play as a striker too if needed.

But people still obsess with a rigid first eleven lol

Its about strength in depth.

Big Clubs competing are stacked with quality.

I really can’t see Palace going for this although maybe they could opt to replace him with someone like Sarr at Watford?

But that's a debate for another thread.....

There's 'he's an option' as in, we'd consider him but I find it hard to imagine that 'he's an option' as in Palace would sell him at this stage of the window.

Would be a very interesting option. Like richi, can cover all three positions. Knows where the net is, quick, bit of a shithouser and HG. I’m less concerned with a right footer on the right as Emerson doesn’t really provide much (helpful) width to the play on that side anyway.

Don’t get this link at all?
We already have Son and Richarlison who are left wing/ forwards.
Zaha plays in probably our strongest position in the squad.
Really?? Homegrown, last year of contract, proven in the prem, can play across the front line, has been playing as a forward so far this season. Is big strong, has pace can beat a man. Ticks alot of boxes if you ask me. Like richy doesnt have to play off the left.

Zaha annoys the fuck out of me but we do need a dribbler, someone with a spark. Lucas is that for me but Zaha is skilfull and powerful too and draws fouls which is good for our new found expertise in set pieces.

Zaha has very fast feet, is a great dribbler and is very good at winning penalties. Its a no-brainer for me. I'd be ecstatic if we got him.

For me Zaha is a level up on Lucas

I don't care who our opponent is, if they see Richarlison and Zaha on the touchline ready to come on, you know they are shitting it.

I’ve never really fancied him as a player in any other role than the saviour at Crystal Palace. I just think he’s better as the big fish comparative to the pond; no disrespect to Palace.

Not sure Wilf fits our profile, he’s only 5’11. :cautious:

On the other hand, imagine Harry dropping behind Zaha & Richarlison after Sonny & Deki have run at defenders for 60 mins.

Certainly feels like a better option than the Ukrainian guy. Prem proven, unplayable when he's on it.
