"average football manager" ...Eek...... despite having the best Spurs record since Sir Bill.... aside from Harry of course....... doesn't say much for the other Spurs managers over the past 40 years. ...

Jol deserves more respect than that.

 aside from harry..what about keith Burkinshaw?

Look don't drag me into a Jol bashing scenario because i don't think he deserves that at all....but your talking rubbish !! Jol in your words is better than Burkinshaw ??? he won us 3 cups in 4 years :duh:...and in those days the cups he won were treated properly by all clubs.Think before you post please.

Well said ELY, I would add David Pleat Mk1 to that list.
One of Jol's biggest faults was his refusal to drop Robbo, when his confidence had gone.

Can't believe someone said he would be average if he went for them players.

Fulham aren't going to get the likes of Forlan, Rossi, Aguero etc. Whoever is on the transfer list

The players that are deadwood at Spurs will be an upgrade at Fulham. They will do a good job. Just like Davies, Zamora, Murphy have all done an excellent job at Fulham

He's got a big pool of former players to persuade to join Fulham, what with his stints at Ajax and Hamburg post-Spurs. I think he'll need more energy, and a little bit of youth into the side, somebody like Jenas would provide the running in midfield, maybe he will bid for Steed from Sunderland, who once was at Fulham?

With Sunderland and Blackburn getting good deals for their players we might be able to sell our fringe players easier than I hoped.

Would be amusing if he dialled Harry and Levy and Commoli and Wenger just so he fart down the phone at them.

Specially DC pr Wenger. 'allo? Allo? oo is zis?

'FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAART'

'allo?'

Not so sure. They've sold integral players who are week in, week outers. People know our lot have been sat depreciating, not getting a game.

But some of these players sat on the bench were in the team that got us 5th and part of the squad that got onto cl! Some teams will see our squad players as a step up to there players

Good question actually. BMJ will be looking to stabilise Fulham and get them climbing the table. To do this I think he will look to employ players that he knows can do that in the Prem. He placed a lot of faith in the likes of Jenas, during his tenure with us, so I can see Levy getting his 'streamlined squad' wish with a few of our 'surplus' players moving away.

Why can't they both have done a great job? In my opinion Jol done a great job. So much shit is talked about how he couldn't take us to the next level, he didn't do much wrong. No one could have worked under the conditions he was put under by our board in his last few months. Have a look over at Chelsea and what happens when a manager is undermimed. Hard to know what he would have done with our current squad but he done a fantastic job with the squad he had just like Redknapp has done with this one.

Well said.

Martin Jol had nowhere near as good a squad as Harry (also has done great job) and he was SO SO near to getting 4th.

I hope he has a successsful time at Fulham, ready to come back to WHL when Harry goes to England!
