Given we're supposedly in for both Willian and Lamela I really believe Bale is off but if Coentrao is included in that deal... We would have one of the strongest starting 11's in the league.

Jesus Christ...that's it, I'm finishing work for the day. Had enough of the frigging phone ringing as well when I'm trying to concentrate on this thread.

Feels like frigging deadline day.

Interestingly I think we would of heard ITK about any Bale deal being agreed. With it all gone quiet and lack of confidence in Madrid meeting our demands, makes me believe all this spending isn't dependent on Bale.

If it was, would Levy run the risk of putting himself in that situation where he NEEDED to sell Bale which gives Madrid the power.

There's no guarantees (from what we know) Bale's valuation will be met, I doubt Levy would of spent 'Bale' money like crazy with the knwedge he might have to accept 20-30 million below his asking price and in a shitty price structure.

Don't know why I'm struggling to articulate this but people understand me right :(

Could it not be that the deal has already been agreed but on the condition that we get until the end of the transfer window so we can finish our business off first for obvious reasons?

I'm sure AVB and co have identified Willian and Lamela can go far to replace Bale, just be interesting to see if the money men (Levy and Lewis) hold their nerve for another season and really go for it. Would be the difference between 1st and 3/4th for me.

This is insane stuff!!! You know what too, if Bale is off for the reported £93 million add the money we've got from other player sales then we haven't even touched any of our own funds. We must have received at least £120 million in sales alone if Bale has been sold but being kept quiet until we get our business done.

Sorry to piss on everyones chips but unless Wenger has totally lost the plot I imagine the Arse are also after Lamela as well. With the players agent supposedley in London then I would have thought it won't just be Baldini he's meeting.

Hopefully though Wenger has lost the plot and has decided to pursue Cabaye.

All speculation of course but with the stories that are coming out today its hard not to get involved.

Bale is guaranteed to earn us a lot of money no matter if he goes now or next season. This coupled with how close we are to the big boys has probably led to us thinking this is the time to roll the dice.

Maybe it's wishful thinking but with all these signings wouldn't he want to stay?

If Bale is to be sold, I think we'll go for Eriksen as well - wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.

They need depth out wide, not a 30m spending. They need money spent in central midfield, defense and arguably striker. I think a cheaper signing makes sense out wide, but in terms of their main transfer needs, they can't afford to spend 30m on Lamela with bigger needs in other areas.

Granted, I did mention earlier as well that I wouldn't be surprised if Arsenal were truly interested.

We will just have to see.

This was a conscious decision I made yesterday morning. You are looking at my "work" for the foreseeable....
