I thought Willian was pretty over-priced, but that it was probably the premium to go to a non-CL club.... So I can't really see why Chelsea would spend that much. Also it's not a position that they really need to strengthen in (and I'm not convinced he does strengthen them). But football can be crazy sometimes...

Eriksen is to willian as dempsey was to moutinho in that its a very weak consolation prize. Willian is the player we need and once againwere kept away from challenging by last minute problems.
Willian played very well in the CL last year, ppl say how much hes overpriced but hes ready now to be our creative fulcrum. Mr Youtube video Lemala is not proven in a tough league and is very young. A great signing in terms of potential but no use to us if by the time hes a world beater our other best players are fed up of Europa and so left. See bale (Berba, Modric, VDV all gone due to not being good enough in the NOW)

See, RAWKesque nonsense. Not proven in a tough league? Lamela is playing in Serie A and Willian has been plying his trade in Russia. Lamela also scored 15 goals and got 5 assists last year, isn't that better than JD managed from a main strikers position?
