Plenty of reports out of Mexico about Spurs looking to sign Uruguay Centre Back Sebastian Caceres.

Absolutely no idea about him. Any Central/South America followers?!

CB is absolutely key in Jan.
One thing I noticed on his YouTube highlights, is he plays both sides of CB and passes with both feet.

From the highlights, I would have guessed he was Left footed, but read somewhere he is actually Right footed, so obviously capable with either, so maybe that is part of the appeal, meaning he could be 1st choice back up to both CBs.

Also looks like he fits the profile of an Ange CB with decent passing, can bring the ball out from the back and looks mobile, but that just going by his highlights, I've never (knowingly) seen him play in a full game.

We badly need someone like Doku. Wonder if we made a move early we could have beaten city to him. Exact profile we need

Thoughts?

I like KWP, but his issue has always been in defence, not going forward and I see that no team in the Championship has conceded more than Southampton, which may have nothing to do with KWP, but haven't seen their games this season.

KWP seems like a decent lad but honestly we need to be aiming a bit higher in my opinion. Decent low level Premier League player is where I would put him. He isn’t as good as either Emerson or Davies.

I also see that Santiago Gimenez scored two goals for Feyenoord in the CL, taking his total to 15 in 11 games this season.

Always a risk looking at strikers from the Dutch league but will be interesting to see how he gets on for the rest of the year.

I like him. He's got a touch of the Berbatovs in style.

Risk is evidenced by the fact the only two players who scored more goals in the first 11 games of the season are Mateja Kezman and Afonso Alves

I think kwp would be a great fit for an Ange inverted full back, he’s always been a creative player for a fullback. Would help sol s the club trained problem too if in Europe.

Agree with this, but we do need to succession plan a little. Especially as Ben is into his thirties with a relatively short contract remaining. If we are going for former academy products then Dennis Cirkin seems the obvious one for that position.

In order of priority;
Central Defender- with good pace
Attacker - wide left or central
Midfielder - with attacking / creative qualities

Not sure I agree with the midfielder bit. See how Gio gets on but Benta offers attacking creative qualities too we lack another 6 really.

We have Bissouma, Bentancur, Skipp, Sarr, PEH.

Of course we can improve on a couple but its about being realistic. We wont go and spend £30M plus here in Jan when CB is the absolute must. We can see this through till summer unless PEH leaves in Jan.

Peh is going apparently, we don’t know how Benta will look And the other two aren’t 6s. We need a player who can play like biss when he’s out.

If Bentancur isnt the same, we certainly wont be selling PEH until the summer.
