2 things, Neto and Eze do not play lw as their natural position. I doubt we are going down the square peg round hole route.

I'm not sure why people get so obsessed with price. A lot were moaning that VDV and Viccario were the cheap options in the summer.
I disagree Re Neto, whilst its true he started out as a right winger even going by transfermarket.com hes actually played more on the left (42 games) then the right (34 games) throughout his career and even this season some of his best performances have come from him on the left ether when he's started there or switched mid game. Point is he's a natural on ether wing and I don't see any issue with viewing him as a left winger should we be looking for one.

I agree with you re Eze tho, he's def best as a number 10. He tends to drift central a lot when he starts out wide. He looks an excellent player but shouldn't be viewed as a wide option in this system IMO. As a rotation option for Maddison sure (although i think it might be over kill) but not as a winger. Width from the wing play is vitally important in this system and we need our wingers to stay near the touch line.

I think the interesting question is what Ange does with Johnson. Part of me wonders if he will actually use him primarily on the left rather then the right. I think it was in the pre match presser before Luton Ange was was talking about wide options in general and he said something like "on the left Perisic, Solomon, Johnson, Gil and on the other side we have Kulu". It wasn't exactly that but certainly words to that effect. Point is he listed Johnson along with the left wingers. Yes It's probably not worth reading too much into it at this stage but does raise the question of if we might end up needing a RW instead of a LW.

Ether way as i've posted before, Neto and Williams should be our top wide targets IMO and both can naturally play ether wing.

Also, I'd add that Neto has only managed 30 games once in 5 seasons. His next best season was 14 starts.

Which is concerning.

Interesting player and has a fairly low release clause
Not the right type at all. Direct powerful runner who suits a counter attacking style far more than a possession based one. On top of that he's 27 and has never put up significant numbers before this season and this looks like a purple patch more than anything else.

Yeah, Boniface looks far more interesting.

This is from a podcast. Can’t see him holding any meetings but there has been talk of our supposed interest in Nusa so who knows. (The Nusa part of the tweet is just guess work.)

Shame Nusa didn't get to play due to his minor injury. They do have other talented players as well though.
And this guy is up front for the opponent, though I'm not sure he's as good as Boniface, Orban etc. who came before him from same agency.

I think we really need a Mauro Icardi type tbh, and there aren't many of them around nowadays.
Nah, I think a striker with some sort of outstanding physical traits, be it strength, speed is invaluable in the PL.

Just listened to the official Premier League pod from the Norwegian rights holder, and they had an interesting tidbit.

They had been in Bodø to watch the match between Bodø and Club Brugge last Thursday, and on the airport they saw Paratici talking on his phone.
My first thought was that he was there to watch Nusa, but he didn’t travel.

Not the way we play now. Technique instinct and movement is far more important than strength and pace. All those low crosses and cutbacks need a player who will find that pocket of space. Not bulldoze their way through, or outrun their CB's. We need Aguero not Halaand.

The two I think would work are Marcos Leonardo or Benjamin Sesko.

Vdv was 43 million wasn’t he?

And yet we’ve seen in some matches the potential for transitions is there even with our possession style. Give me a striker who has some sort of real attribute to combine with his movement and finishing.

Given the profile needed for the striker role, and how specific it needs to be for Ange's system, I have a hard time envisioning us obtaining one in January. Feels more likely we'd focus on a LWF. EG: the other Jota.

And the other area will be CB. Which is anyone's guess.

And if there were any on other acquisitions, it will either be youngsters or pre-contract agreements for free agents next summer.
