Kind of agree with Walworthyid about Robinho. He's too lightweight for the EPL and certainly couldn't settle in Manchester and would probably find the distractions of London too much to cope with. Since he's been back here in Brasil he's been scoring goals for fun for Santos but they have made him their "star" and the team plays for him.
He's also been in practically every TV ad going leading up to the WC so he's obviously raking in a fortune in off the pitch activities too. Why would he want to give all that up to go back to Manchester. This lad could give our GDS lessons in how to party.
Why do people always say this about players coming to London? Every major city has clubs and bars. I'm sure there is as much potential to get drunk in Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds and Birmingham etc as there is in London. Unless going on open top bus tours, or visiting the London Eye, the Tate Modern, the Natural History Museum and Buckingham Palace are seen as counter to a players career, I'm not convinced London is city of temptation the media make it out to be. In fact most players live in the suburbs, where the main areas to go out in are much smaller than those found in other major cities. There are surely more clubs etc in Manchester than there are in Chigwell. The London issue is something someone like Alex Ferguson comes up with as a problem and I doubt he has the first clue about the comparitive night life opitions for players based in London and those based in other cities.
