The prob. about Wodgate has capt. is that what he did at leeds is not exactly a good example apon the younger players. We need a modal proffesional to be capt.

the only prob is Keane winges too much, ledders goes to nightclubs and gets kicked out while Woody has got a criminal recored....hmmm...

TBH I want every player to be a captain when we play, not just the guy with an armband round his arm!!

Woody would be a good choice. Take nothing away from Keano he has been a good captian for us but i think a captain should be a Gk, Defender or mid.

Old fashioned maybe but my opinion

If King is fit enough to play then he should keep it, Woody would be my next choice as I believe a captain should be a defender or play in midfield.

Woodgate has a checkered past which is the only reason I'd reserve judgment on him being captain if Ledley King doesn't play.

The post Real Madrid Woodgate is a far more mature player than his Leeds days.

The one concern i'd have is will his body stand up to the rigours of a 38 league game season?

If King was fit there wouldnt be a discussion at all about captaincy but we need a captain that plays week in and week out. If woody can stay fit and play every week he would be the best choice imo. And keep keano as vice captain.
