I noticed it as well, would love to know what it means, seen him do it to the fans as well on the odd occassion.

I think he has been our most consistent player by far his season, how he isn't in the England squad I don't know.

He wins everything in the air, is calm and assured and also has his little eccentricities like the boob bounce and the stage he went through attacking the opposition goalkeeper when they caught a corner!

I don't think I am being gung ho or irrationaly pro-Spurs. I just think that Woodgate and King are far better players and therefore form a better partnership and that were they able to play as often as the Everton pair, it would be there for all to see. I agree, therefore, that it is an inconsistent and elusive partnership but watching them against Chelsea, for example, and in other games it is plain to see what a terrific partnership they are. I think they complement each other well.

ITV is the lowest of all the low commentary, so it is not surprising that whoever said that spoke before he thought. As a sidenote, surely when on top form Carvalho and Terry are far better too.

I'm very happy we have Woody, he is generally very solid which is not words you would come to associate with Spurs defenders generally.

That said, I completely understand why he doesn't get the same plaudits as Ledders, simply because Led seemingly will only make a few mistakes in a season, Woody will make a few in each game.

Maybe Ledley is lucky, maybe he is so good that he can rectify his own mistakes. Woody was dominated by Samba in the second half against Blackburn, made a mistake to let in Di Michele against the spammers and made a mistake to let in James Brown, sorry Martins yesterday. He is good, but he is not infallible.

That said, I take my hat off to each of our defenders for the stirling job they have done this season, especially at home.

True, Ledley is the superior player. I still remember that incredible tackle he made against Chelsea a few years back. Kezman I think was one-on-one with Robinson, looks a certain goal - and out of no where King gets back to make a perfect tackle. Received an ovation like a goal would do. I'd love to see that again. Was incredible.

Ai, it was against Robben, there was a thread on here within the last two weeks with a youtube link - have a search on youtube and I'm sure you'll find it.

Made me go all goosebumpy when I saw it again a week or so ago, remember sitting on the shelf when he did it and it was one of the most impressive things I've seen on a football pitch.
