BC, how can you watch sports that's already happened earlier in the day in this day in age where if you have internet access, you will already know the result. Do you just black out the internet or something? I cannot record a recent sports event and watch it when I already know the result. It is impossible for me.

I had to get some work done. So recorded the game and avoided looking at the result on internet etc.

I’ve still got 35m of the Morocco game to watch but wanted to watch the Spain Portugal game live.

But you're suggesting that some sides do not have the right to compete because they haven't faced strong sides in qualifying. What do you want them to do, move their countries to a different continent so they can face proper opposition in qualifying?
Nah, because they haven't beaten decent sides in qualifying. Like the Saudis, who had two decent opponents and failed to beat either of them. Iran actually beat South Korea at least.

The Spanish artillery against a 36 year old Pepe in the Portugal defence. Portugal will try to sit tight and counter but this could get very interesting.

I'm fighting the temptation to go back to Twitter and laugh at some of these people!
I swear the Spanish FA should just put out a public service announcement before every tournament. Social media's been around for so long now you'd have hoped even the most uninformed footie watchers would know this by now.

So what you're saying is that some wins are more worthy than others? Where's the bar set for that one? Precisely what rank of side would Saudi have had to beat to be deemed worthy of coming to the finals?

I missed the anthems. I understand why the Catalan mob don’t sing it, but why do none of the others?

I must admit that it took me a couple of seconds to remember...

While it was crazy to sack him the spanish team is a well oiled war machine and can just motor ahead. It was so dumb of the guy to not tell the spanish fa though. A crazily bad decision.

That's a point: why is Spain's away kit white? I've never associated that colour with Spain.

Is there any country that doesn't have a white kit/shirt? Brazil are the only one I can think of that I've never seen in white.
