It's coming home, but coming home in the most English way possible, on a rail replacement bus service which is late and accidentally misses a stop.

It may turn out that the best tactical move Southgate made - so far - was to play the "reserves" vs Belgium and lose. Looking at the "other" quater-finalists (Belgium, Brazil, France, Urugay) vs Croatia, England, Russia and Sweden... I know which "batch" I would prefer..
I think anyone still harping on about losing momentum or that England need to win every game looks pretty silly now

Itv just said Kane was carrying an injury last 30 mins, anyone know what it is

He was runing quite akward but I thought it was just some cramp. He did not looked injured when bombing in that penalty.

As a Sweed I obviously hope we win but hopefully Kane scores three goals as long as we score 4. I want him to win the golden boot so badly.
Silly, Sweden will never put 4 behind Lloris! Oh, for a second I thought the England line-up and the Tottenham line-up was identical. Must have overlooked a coupled of spots.

Stress every time Kane steps up to take another penalty thinking maybe just maybe he will finally miss one, especially with how long the gap between the foul and the pens have been. Balls of steal, such a brilliant leader. This teams belief and fight has been been so good to see.

Same. And I think when you've taken so many you think more about where you should go or where the keeper may think you've gone. He's done brilliantly to score all the ones he's taken, such an incredible striker of the ball.

Really hope we see him further forward though. The few times that we did break away and have a bit of space out wide to deliver in the box he was nowhere to be seen.

Full credit to Southgate. There was a collective groan when he was appointed (not by me I might add. I always liked the way he got the U21s playing) but he is proving his worth. Well done that man.

So proud of the spurs lads. What a pen by Trippier, and Dier has ice in his veins.

That bond and team spirit that they have is invaluable. Never seen it from an England team since ‘96.

Rather importantly, this will have a positive effect on the players going into the Sweden game.

Hopefully the Swedes weren’t listening to Tripps when he explained where he puts his pens. ?

It’s probably been said but Davinson Sanchez showed exactly why we put player personality ahead of player ability. He was the only player for Colombia who did not get involved in their shithousery. On top of that, he put on an absolutely world class performance.

I’m so glad he’s our player!
