Is every big team manager at the world cup just an absolute idiot? Argentina should be so much better with the players they have. Dybala and Di Maria both left on the bench.
Didn't watch the France match earlier but the lineup seemed to suggest that Deschamps was playing Matuidi on the wing? When he has Dembele and Lemar on the bench and left Martial at home. Same thing with Brazil playing Paulinho over other options they have. Are these managers just dumb as rocks?

Paulinho is a completely different player to the one we saw at Spurs, to be fair. Joint top scorer in qualifying.
The others, yeah. Deschamps especially seems to be clueless and dragging the players down.

Not based on what I've seen of him at Barcelona and in the first game this world cup, he looks exactly the same.
But yeah the quality of the whole tournament is suffering because these managers don't know what they're doing. Even Low who's usually good lost the plot by leaving Sane at home imo.
Also just looked it up and Jesus scored more than Paulinho in qualifying, but yeah 6 goals isn't bad.
