He was anointed as the chosen one when he was only a teenager. The limelight was probably there before he ever seeked it. Regardless of whether he wanted it or not, he'd still be facing the same amount of pressure he's facing now considering he's seen as their star player back home and the most expensive player it the world. That's perfectly fine and as a fan I totally support players caring about their team and country. My quarrel was with 'the pressure he is under'. He is only under additional pressure that he has created. He wanted to be 'the guy' in the limelight instead of a cog in the works and that comes with proportionately more pressure.
If Brazil fails that limelight will again focus on him and that is fair too. He doesn't complain when cameras are there in the good times so I can give a shit when they show up when he fails. Fair, no?
