If it's anything like Uefa competitions you can only appeal a red card in cases of mistaken identity and even then the red card gets transferred to the correct player.

I think the co commentator is Mark Hazelwood who usually commentates on the Welsh games, he's a condescending arsehole. He really thinks he knows it all but comes accross as an utter bell end.

Regarding the Italian red card, it was studs first and nowhere near the ball. Always a risk of a red there.
