I'm not sure about that whole James or "Hamez" Rodriguez malarkey. The commentator uses the pronunciation of Thierry Henry as an example saying how it's the same as calling him "Terry" but is it because they are spelt differently.

But Henri is pronounced Arn-ree, not Henry.
