World Cup Play off

Rant alert!

Im raging with those absolutely money hungry p****'s at fifa and their decision with 2 weeks left of qualifying for the world cup to suddenly change the structure of the play offs.
they have changed them from an 8 team open draw to a 4 + 4 team seeded draw. the only reason they have done is was to avoid the likes of germany & france being drawn together and missing out on the potential revenue stream that a country like that would bring to the tournament.
a seeded draw is fine, i have no real issues with it IF that was the procedure right from the start but to change it with 2 wks left is shocking and shows fifa as the big boy club that it really is. hmmm i wonder if that little french dwarf was in blatters ear over this, i think the answer would be yes.
just because the likes of germany, france, russia couldnt take advantage of their already seeded groups does not mean they should be given a second chance with seeding.
i know i have a vested interest in this but to change the format 2 weeks before qualifying ends is wrong, plain and simple

That's disgusting, akin to changing the Premiership from GD to GS or something just because Arsenal would miss out on fourth otherwise. Surely nations can complain to the court of arbitration for sport?

glad its not just me who thinks it. head of irish fai, delaney, is a spineless git who doesnt even have the balls to criticise this. i would've at least thought he would have the wits about him to pay lip service criticism to it but he doesnt even do that! heres hoping one of the other nations like us who will be in the second group of 4 have a leader with at least one ball big enough to criticise this and maybe even take it a step further. ray:

unfortunately dougal we need cyprus to take a point (or 3) against italy as well as us beating italy and montenegro so we certainly will need the luck of the irish in this one!

If a nation like Ireland or Sweden took this to CAS then they should get it overturned. Bet none of them do though :-(
