You obviously have NOT seen Ozil play nor got any idea of the work rate he undertakes each game :duh: He cover more grass than most top players. Duh.
I was not "comparing" him to Modric - as, if you'd read what I said, Ozil defo is more of an offensive treat than Modric is. I also did point out that Ozil most probably wouldn't choose Spurs anyway should he decide to leave Real M.

is that why he's completed 90 minutes about 3 times in the past two years? duh.

Sami Khedira. :eek:mg::rofl: ok bud. Oh and we really need another cdm player.

He has a pretty solid range of passing as well and some would argue that with Modric in the centre we leave ourselves exposed a bit away from home in particular.

Playing two more solid central midfielders gives more protection.

You gotta think a bit deeper than 'oh just another defensive midfielder'. He's not just another central defensive midfielder, he's a bloody good one and has a lot in his locker.

But as I said in my original post, if I had to swap Modric for someone.

Obviously I'd stick with Modric over him but if I had a choice over Ozil or Khedira I'd pick Khedira.

Try not to poo poo other people's posts old bean with silly smilies.

I just had a genuine conversation with a Liverpool fan who said that he wouldn't have Modric over Spearing in their side as he is so 'overrated'.

I kicked the shit out of him and stole his wallet. Silly ****.

Try not to post rubbish then! ? Khedira was bought off one good world cup, and your comparing him to modric.

Where did I compare him to Modric?

Did you actually read my posts properly?

I actually said I would prefer to swap him for Khedira other Ozil if I HAD TOO. IF I HAD TOO, that's what I said. I don't recall comparing the two and in each of the posts I've stated my preference for Modric.

And who the fuck are you to tell me I'm posting rubbish? You're acting like a troll really as your posts directed at me have all been pretty patronising / rude rather than backing up your opinions (until this last post).

Slightly different players as Modric controls a game and sets the tempo whereas Ozil is more crafty and a keener eye for a goal - both fantastic players though.

Will be interesting if Modric is now pushed into a more advanced role which will require more Ozil qualities than what we've currently witnessed with Luka thus far.

I wasn't the one starting, but hey-ho whatever.

Again, in my original post I didn't say swap Modders for Khedira, I said if I had to I would swap him for Khediar rather than Ozil.

And that's it.

For me Ozil would be a bigger sensation than David Silva in the Premiership and someone who would make the difference to a team finishing third and a team actually winning the league.

As someone who wanted us to sign Modric, long before we actually bought him,I know the kind of player he is.
Luka is a superb player but imo he is replaceable in our team.
Obviously not with a like-for-like player but with a player with different attributes but who would still be just as effective.

That's why I would make the swap.

A more realistic question would perhaps be whether you'd want us to swap Kyle Walker with Ozil. Real Madrid are looking for a right back and have been looking at Walker.

We wouldn't be able to play Ozil in a midfield two, but in a three it's possible:

Sandro ---- Parker
Ozil----VdV----Bale
----Adebayor-----

(Ozil and VdV interchanging with Walker providing the width down the right. With VdV injured/resting, Ozil would move in the center and probably Lennon would fill in at RM.)

Ozil would probably get more direct assists than Modric in that position, and his pass average isn't too shabby either (42 ppg). Even though Ozil plays in a more dominant team, you could also say that he should have plenty of experience facing buses by now....and assisting the poor man's Gareth Bale

Granted, I'd be happier with Gotze and Reus though they are just as out of our league as Ozil is.

No because he's a completely different type of player - he plays in the VDV role, not the Modric role.

If I had to swap Modric for a Real Madric player, it would be for Sami Khedira.

:eek:mg:, I really not a fan he hasnt a good season as well, diarra overtaken him

The only person would be a similar player to modric is sahin, with him now recovered, hopefully for his sake he starts playing
