"Spurs banked £51million from selling Dimitar Berbatov and Robbie Keane but they spent £77m bringing in new players."

Steed Malbranque, Pascal Chimbonda, Younes Kaboul, Anthony Gardner and Teemu Tainio? Obviously figments of our imagination, then.

I really don't give a shit what papers are writing about us as the fact is we suck at this point of the season and we really have to do something about it. Well though what can you expect when our summer transsfer window was a disaster after Keano and Berba decided to go and we didn't got CM, left winger or proper replacements for those 2. And now we just can't even create scoring chances when our midfield is starting our attacks so fucking slowly if at all.

Some rubbish in the article (Dodgy keeper? Gomes? Some also very selective accounting.) But yeah, most of it is probably true.

The most damning thing it says is that "But anyone who was at Fratton Park yesterday saw enough to realise this is no blip.". Nothing's changing. Nothing's improving. This isn't simply a confidence issue that can suddenly flip us into an amazing side. There are some serious, deep-rooted problems that don't appear to be addressed, let alone solved.

Poor central midfield - gap between midfield and attack. Gap between midfield and defence. Lack of pace. Lack of ideas. Lack of quick thinking. Lack of fight. Apart from that, we're fine.

We don't have 'SC Police'. All that's asked (or hoped) is that people make rational or considered criticisms rather than post 'X is shit'.

The bit I don't agree with is the part at the end about Martin Jol, were they not just as vocal as all the other rags in trying to oust him?

It's The Sun. What do you expect?

If it's not lies and rumours, it's tits and bollocks.

Whether this was written in The Sun or any other newspaper, the overall assessment is bang on. We are a club in crisis, and no matter what is said the truth of the matter is 2 points from 18 and our worst start since 1955.

The media do not have it in for spurs for god sake.

we are just a laughing stock after spending the best part of £70m and not winning one game. Even hull have won 3 and they had a shitload of new signings!

We are playing terribly. The only teams we have beat are Wisla who probably overestimated us and who I really fear for the second leg, and Newcastle who have a tiny squad, injuries, are worse than us yet still two points higher!!!!

If there is a media match report out there saying we are doing well then that is the wrong one, not ones that critisce us.

Where they do have it in for us is the reports not based on the matches but on made up bull that 'happens' behind the scenes.
