Why on earth are we selling him, we will only then need to source a replacement probably ending up being similar quality.

Ghaly & Prince Boateng on the other hand.....

didnt Kaboul have a pop at Ramos early on his tenure? im sure he did and thats probably the reason Ramos wamts him gone.

Keep Kaboul. With Ledley going to be out for some matches i would keep him. Also Villa, S/Land offered us more than 5mil

Unfortunately he turned both Sunderland and Villa down. So unless we want to keep a disruptive player who is slagging Ramos and the club down in the media we are forced to sell him to Pompey for a reduced fee as that is where he wants to go.

Sounds suspiciously like he has been tapped up to me. Roy Keane said he'd heard that one of the other managers in for Kaboul had taken him out to a Casino.

But all is not lost according to premiershiplatest

He did have a pop at Ramos claiming that he never spoke to the players like Jol did, who he considers a father figure.

Someone already posted elsewhere it's rather simple really Kaboul out Corluka in.Similar age and Corluka has already bedded into the prem from last season is more promising for the future and has the versatility to play 3 different positions very well.

It's a shame he clearly has the potential to be a class defender.I am certain that Redknapp and Adams will get the best out of him at pompey i think we may regret this.Good luck Younes i hope it works out for you!

“He’s at the right age, he’ll learn from playing alongside Sol Campbell. He’ll gain that experience that all players need and hopefully he’ll be the player we’re looking for.”

Yep, he'll learn how to sell you out like a bastard. Southampton can look forward to Younes' services for free right after he finishes his contract.

Fucking about aside, I thought Kaboul had potential and I'm disappointed to see him go. Hope he does really well, except of course against us.

Because he slagged off Ramos and his management style in no uncertain terms on at least two occasions, and made it clear months ago that he wanted to bugger off to Pompey—he probably heard how wonderful it was there from that other dummy-spitter Diarra.

Apart from which, potential regardless, he's looked like Boumsong Mk II most times he's played. No wonder Ramos prefers Dawson.

Good riddance.

Definite Kabowel movement. Not only a transfered player, a shit transfered player.

I'm sure he'll score against us next season then whoop it up like he's won the world cup. Chump.

I thought he was the mutts nuts when he banged in that last, last minute goal against Villa last season. But then the fog of the moment cleared and I realised that he was out of his depth. If we can recover our outlay on him then its good business as far as I'm concerned.

If he'd not mouthed off and realised he's not as good as he thought and was happy to stay and learn then he might have been with us next season. The minute he opened his mouth to the press about Ramos' man management skills he was a goner.

Ramos appears to be ruthless, it looks like Lee, Salty and Boateng have all been training with the reserves instead of the first team, not something that would've happened under Jol.

He was thrown in at the deep end to early and couldn't cope with the change of pace of Premiership football. An awkward first touch combined with an inability to play the ball quickly was always going to equal trouble here.

In time (remember, he is still only 22) I think he will be decent and I could have lived with him being a reserve CB for us. Obviously though he had to go when he started mouthing off.

The daft thing is when he arrived at the club he was quoted as saying he did not expect to play much in his first season. He did play a lot at first due to injuries. Then because Ramos dropped him for some poor performances he spits out his dummy. I found that very disappointing from a player with so much potential. It's just a shame he didn't have the brains to go with his ability.

With the bad news on the Corluka deal, yes I think we should sell Kaboul but just for the laugh of it we should tell Fat Harry that he goes nowhere until Corluka joins us. It would wipe that smug grin off his fat face for a day or two.
