At the moment, I can't see us getting many of our current transfer targets. Gago would be a great addition and possibly realistic as I can't see him getting any minutes at Madrid. Crouch I think is probably on our fall back list if we fail to get RVN/Toni/Huntelaar. I REALLY hope we do not go for Ciise, least Crouch is likeable!

He's just being realistic unlike some who will get carried away and start putting Messi's in their team left, right and center.

I can see what lanh is doing, keeping it simple. More likely then not, his team will be a closer reflection of what our first 11 will probably look like at the start of next term.

Lets face it, the rest of us dont really have a clue who we are going to buy do we.

I think barring any injuries, that will be the team that will start against Liverpool. I just dont see us buying any players until the end of August when the pressure mounts. We are not desperate in any position and can afford to bide our time. Also the reason why a lot of us are not getting excited about the players we are being linked with is because they are not a huge step in quality from what we have. These are players that came to us with reputations and proven ability in most cases. Why swap them around?

We dont need a huge squad as we are not in Europe. The only thing I would change is to bring in another big striker IF we sell Bent or Pavlyuchenko. Otherwise we are well covered everywhere.

I think we'll sign a couple, but I don't think they'll be first choice straight away.

We finished the season pretty much in Top 4/5 form, the important thing is to keep that team together and make sure that if we are going to fuck with it with new signings, we bleed them in slowly, that way we can hopefully hit the ground running and keep it going all season long to repeat Jol's efforts of 5th, or who knows, maybe go one higher.
