We have had a good season and again we find ourselves probably heading for a play-off type situation with Citeh. Which player do you see as lifting us to the level necessary to pull it off?
Controversial I know but I think Defoe is the player who will step up for us. Strange that because he is the player who has had the deepest and longest dip in form. Looking at him I'd believe he hasn't lost any of the physical attributes that usually make him dangerous. He still looks lively over 5-10 yards and has quick feet. His drive is still there as is the singlemindness so vital in a six yard box forward. No, he has lacked the fortune that all strikers need and all strikers find deserting them at points in their career. Defoe can come again for us at will be a vital time in the seven game run in and in doing so prove wrong those who have written him off so completely.
