Yep. Luxury player.

No team can carry such players. :cautious:
You jest but I can still remember a patron of the Shelf standing next to me giving Glenn dog's abuse about his inability to tackle even a 'wet paper bag'- he's probably a member of this forum!

Kieran McKenna has just been appointed the manager of Ipswich Town. I think he could be a good fit for them his first management role I wish him the best of luck.

i remember seeing Shash come on for his first youth team appearance he was so small and he scored after a few minutes - as far as Capoue it wasn't the silly fist team game it was a reseve game or U21 game at the training ground and I am sure it was Reading and it stood out as unusual becase Sherwood coated him in public and that was so unusual I thought he left soon after that but I could easily be wrong. I thought Capoue was a dreadful player to be honest
Shash for what it's worth is now having a very respectable/good season at Tenerife, who are in the promotion race. Wouldn't be at all strange to see him in La Liga next season.

Is that major or minor?
I don't know what you mean here. He's played part of 18 out of 20 game, and started 15 of those. He has 5 goals and 4 assists to his name. So, seems to be playing an important role. He is their second-highest goalscorer and top assist man. I can't confirm how well he is doing as I haven't watched Tenerife play. But, he seems to be playing towards the top end of that division, Every year he is building a bit. Last season he started a fringe player and need it a starter, but had low output. The season before that he only played 3 games or so and was loaned out to regain his fitness. But the division closed down due to covid so, that was a tough season for him.

I meant Shashoua major or Shashoua minor, Samuel or Armando. I assume Sam. Thanks for the interesting update and I hope both brothers go on to fulfill their promise.
Sam. Armando is at Samuel's old club, which is the new reformed 3rd division (basically league 1 and league 2) where they are, as always, likely to end up in the play offs. Hes starting every game so must be doing alright. Doesnt seem to have the injury issues his brother has had.

Samuel is a bit of a cult hero at that club. Considered way too good for the division, but that was before the reformation where it was like 80 different clubs all of different levels.

I just read that Steven Caulker is in the Sierra Leone squad for the African cup of nations. He was able to change his international allegiance. He is currently doing well playing in Turkey for Gaziantep on loan from Fenerbache.

I always liked Nathan Byrne and he’s gone on to have a decent career albeit outside the prem. He’s a good honest pro and a very decent bloke (had the privilege of meeting him during his time at Swindon). He’s now at Derby playing right back and performing really well.

He wasn't a youth player but we signed him young. I thought Dos Santos was going to be a top player. With hindsight Barcelona would've have sold him to use if he was as good as I thought he was.
