Poch really likes him as a player, I am all for it if we sell some deadwood to fund the large figure quoted. He would be insane through the middle on teams that are hard to break down, can play different positions too if needed.

Unless this is some weird ploy, I don't think we're in for him.

He's spent the last couple of seasons begging Palace to let him join us and suddenly he's remembered what a lifelong Arsenal fan he is?! Either he ain't sure what he wants, or he's looking for another pay rise.

Either way, Palace mates are gutted they're dealing with this **** again from him and his entourage. Every summer.

We’ve had ITK for what - three years running? - that he is one of Pochs top targets. If he’s not available or only affordable to the Madrid/Barca/City’s of the world that’s one thing; but if he is truly available to teams like Arsenal I fully expect us to be in for him as well.

Don't see why poch would still want him after seeing him kick up a stink each of the last 3 summers.

He's a good player, but not worth 70mill and he's got a screw loose.

I am all for getting him, for if we were to get Zaha, it would be sending a very profound statement to the footballing world where there would be big respect for us, coupled with some envy. Especially if were to gazzump Aresenal

Wouldn’t this happen with Ndombele?

Not worth that kind of money and Arsenal probably only afford him if Abumawank clears off, which would be ideal, bring in a player who scores single figures to replace one who scores far more?????

Zaha is a top player and would improve the overall quality of the squad, but he's absolutely not a priority signing, especially at the price and with Clarke and Sessegnon seemingly coming in.

The only way we should be going for him is if we've sorted all of our key weak areas, sold Lamela and still got money to burn. Which I don't realistically see happening.

Has an inflated view on his ability, self importance & salary expectations. I am also not sure on how it will effect team harmony. But if Poch wants him?

I wouldn’t object to signing him. Quick, strong, technical, hard working, has lots of goals in him. He also enables us to retain the flexibility of multiple formations: a lone striker in a 433/4231/343; a wide forward in a 4231/433/ or a CF/Striker in a 352/442/41212. Lots to like. Except the price. We’ve been here before and I just can’t see Palace rolling over, even at a fair price. They’d want top, top coin for him at a price way beyond our means. Think this is redundant, which is a shame for the reasons above

You have to feel sorry for Zaha - pushing for a move because, as he said "I have to experience the Champions League"... but then again his dream is to move to his boyhood club Arsenal - I guess life is all about choices and compromise...

Let's buy Auba a player I have always rated highly
Even if he wasn't at Arsenal he wouldn't be worth it. £50m+ for a 30 year old who doesn't offer as much as Kane and will want about £250k.

Regardless of that, I fully stand by my opinion that he offers more than Zaha, and they'll be worse off without him.

Arsenal need a whole new defence so lets not worry if they get Zaha. It just means they're more likely to be worse at the back next season. Zaha can't fix that. He'll score goals and I wish we could get him but not too worried

I know it's not realistically possible but I'm just talking hypothetically, the addition of Ndombele, Lo Celso, Zaha and a RB is the type of upgrade to the team that would have me going into the season with the utmost confidence. It's like the required work to make us what would be IMO close to the elite status we would want is so close yet so far at the same time.
