I think Zokora is quite useful. He is a powerful runner, although I would like to him making those bursting runs more. He is a great athlete and worked hard. Sure he couldn’t score even if he was 5 yards out, there was no goalie, and the ball already had the forward momentum to carry it in, but he is not that sort of player.

I posted about Robos kicks in another thread but I do think they worked well at first, until PSV realised they just had to let Berbatov win the header and deal with the second ball.

Of course at the end we seemed to resort to the English punt system that seems to be inbred in the minds of Robinson, O’Hara, and Woodgate.

Very suprised to again see everyone on the Zoko wagon, I thought he'd shown some of his worth by now!

I like Zoko a lot. A goal would do him the world of good but that's neither here or there and he's not a striker, or a predominantly attacking player.

I'd like to see Zoko progress and I personally think he can be fantastic - he needs to be 'tidied up' and to stop with the silly fouling because he can be great, like against Chelsea. He reads play and intercepts well, he can run with the ball well and he can make good last ditch tackles etc. I think people are too harsh on him, he certainly wasn't the worst of the bunch last night, in fact few of the players can say they had a good game!

What IS it with the mis-spelling of his name? The tabloids do it a fair bit too

Think he was our best player against Chelsea, but he's not a world-beater and last night he was anonymous

The Zoko bashing is the most boring thing about Spurs Community. He was one of our better players last night.

And that gentlemen, sums up exactly why we lost last night and why we will lose in Holland unless things change drastically.

Accept it just like most of our midfield options he is not good enough to take us to challenge the top four which is our goal.

robbo's punts have been proved to work time and again - we've scored at least 5 goals from in the past 2 seasons - and my guess is the figure would be nearer to 10

I think Robbo's kicking and distribution is one of the best bits to his game

I don't see myself as a Zokora basher - I just don't think he is as good as at least four of our current mids - maybe more-

he certainly wasn't our best player at wembley - Woody King Berbs JJ were all better than him for starters

I think we have better options than Zokora.

As a defensive midfielder, Tainio admittedly doesn't have too much pace, but he positions himself better, keeps it simple and has greater composure. He is an OK tackler.

Huddlestone on the other hand is a superb distributor of the ball. He should be a better tackler and is still a little inexperienced.

Zokora's great weakness is his lack of composure and common sense. He lunges into reckless tackles in then acts all innocent. I find the way he goes to ground at the slightest touch and expects the referee to award a free kick unforgivable. You should always play until the referee blows his whistle. He offers very little when it comes to scoring or creating goals. He is a poor header of the ball.

His strengths are undoubtedly his pace, stamina and, his recklessness aside, his tackling.

I just don't think he is good enough for us in the long-term, and if Jenas, Tainio and O'Hara are fit, I would prefer to see them in the team ahead of him for the rest of season. I don't expect Zokora to be at Spurs next season. He is not as bad as some people make out, but in my opinion we already have better.

Pretty much everybody played badly last night. Zokora was no different. He made his fair share of errors.

It's difficult to single out anyone for praise, and if one had to I would go for Taraabt (who was only on for a short while), and to an extent O'Hara.

While Zakaro played a blinder against Chelsea, nothing before or, so far, after, has convinced me much of his worth - he has potential, yet isn't living up to it...and he's in his mid-20s. Inconsistent and too reliant on his pace, he's also a bit of a dirty player - that blatant dive for that pen against that team (my memory is shit) has still tainted his name, as well as the sending off last season for that squibbling. I won't cry when Zakaro leaves, but I won't be celebrating either.

was it mentioned yet that our best chance came from a robbo kick up to keane ? but for an excellent save that was a goal.....

I rate zoko in a defensive role and he pushes on well, his final ball not withstanding..he certainly reads the game well and covers well..but is probably the most inconsistent international class player i can think of...

That and the fact that half the members seem to be under the age of 14, are fickle as fuck, cant wait to jump down the necks of our players, dont have a clue about football, have unrealistic expectations about the club and post the biggest load of bollocks i have ever seen, after a defeat.

Fuck sake we have gone from title contenders to no hopers in the period of a week. unbelievebale.

I have always been anti-Zokora, his passing and speed of thought just aren't up to it. He has great pace but his positioning is so poor he needs it. I don't care about his attacking just his defending and at that he isn't good enough.
