He didn't say he's not coming. He said he thinks he's using us as a pay rise. He's itk for spurs not itk for everyone and everything.

He would know if spurs are in advanced negotiations with Fryers or any sort of negotiations though

During the 2010–11 season, Fryers suffered a serious knee injury that kept him out for most of the season. Fryers made his senior début for Manchester United in the League Cup on 20 September 2011, starting alongside Michael Carrick in central defence in United's third round 3–0 victory over rivals Leeds United. He then played in their 3–0 fourth round win against Aldershot Town on 25 October, appearing as a left back.
On 2 November, he was a late substitute for Jonny Evans during a 2–0 win against Oțelul Galați in a Champions League group stage match at Old Trafford. He made his Premier League début in a game against Wolverhampton Wanderers, coming on as a substitute for Patrice Evra in the 68th minute; the game finished 4–1. On 26 December 2011, Fryers continued to press for more inclusions as a 46th minute substitute for Jonny Evans in a league match against Wigan Athletic.
In January 2012, Sky Sports News carried a story suggesting that Fryers could follow fellow academy product Ravel Morrison out of Old Trafford at the end of the 2011–12 season.
On 4 July 2012, Sir Alex Ferguson stated in an interview: "We haven't heard anything from Zeki Fryers, I don't know what's happening there but he's not been in touch with the club. His agent hasn't been in touch with the club and I can only assume he'll be back for training."
* Later it was announced that he is joining Spurs for higher wages.

Hopefully he turns out to be amazing and this will be the start of us taking players from them that they don't want to lose.

Asked a colleague today who goes to most of the United reserve games. He said "He's alright yeah", which basically means he's decent and they don't want to lose him. Said he's tall, strong on the ball, good at defending corners, and pretty quick.

Basically we are offering more money and first team squad, which United aren't.

Good catch as LB cover - and there are not too many LB's around at present.

BTW, the same thread on the front page with a number of good posts on it

JJ said he's using us to get a better manure deal

I believe the above,

If it was true however and he was leaving, wouldn't we really be suspicious as to why a Manchester lad would want to leave Manchester Utd? it just doesn't add up, its abit like the RVP and Walcott rumours.....bollocks.

United have a low salary ceiling policy for youngsters. That's why you're seeing more move. Like Ravel Morrison and Paul Pogba.

Also, I get the feeling United are loosing clout, they've done very little (in comparison to many a previous year) in the market since Ashley Young, and that were a while back now. They also tend to do their business as early as possible (when we're not stringing out deals, obviously), but nowt so far unless I've missed something major...

If that is the case and he is leaving 'The biggest club in the world' for the $ then my suspicions of him would be founded. If he is as good as we are reading he has many years to make shitloads instead of walking away from a club like utd, to me spurs are the greatest club in the world, but i know i am deluded, where as Man UTD are probably the greatest club in the world and any young player walking out on them for the cash isn't worth touching IMO, we should be building a club for the future not recruiting mercenaries.

If he hasn't signed for us this should be in the transfer rumours forum and not in Spurs Chat.

Edit: Moved and merged with the existing thread.
