Zokora and Jenas in the middle....win ratio with these two playing?

Seemingly for the last season and a bit, every time these two play together in the middle, we seem to lose.

What I would like to know is what percentage of games have we won with these two in the same team.

Just a hunch that the number of games won with these two in the same team is worryingly low and is the crux of our problems; the midfield can't play together and they can't link up with the strikers well enough.

They can play decently with Hudd next to them - or JOH - but together, it just doesn't happen.

If we can replace one or both and get a proper DM and ACM (or at least JJ play in the ACM position he plays best in), we might start getting somewhere....

Does anyone have any stats on these two?

we finished 5th with those two in the middle

And since then, they've both gone backwards...

I'm trying to find a stat on this - at the moment it's just a thought having looked through some teamsheets over this calendar year.

With Carrick next to JJ and 4 decent strikers it was great

With Zokora next to JJ and with 4 decent strikers it was good

With Zokora next to JJ and with 2 decent strikers and a boy, its terrible.

Mido, Defoe, Keane but who was the 4th?

I'm pretty sure the win ratio for that combination would be better that Hudd and Zokora. Be interested to see how it compares to Hudd and JJ though.

So why were we picking up points against pretty good teams when the midfield was Hudd and Jenas with Modric in front of them?

I totally agree with this point because I was thinking exactly the same.

Zokora and Jenas cannot play together because neither of them can pass the ball.

When Harry first arrived Jenas played the holding position which I think is the only way he can have a future at Spurs. He showed that he was very comfortable in that position but for me he just doesn't do enough going forward.

I think the solution is that whilst we persist with one up front, then Jenas should anchor the midfield with the Hudd and Modric allowed to get forward. O'hara should be back up for the attacking centre midfield role and Zokora back up for the defensive role.

I am not a Jenas basher but he is not an all round midfielder, I don't care what the stats say, I can only be convinced by what I see and for me he only tends to control games against lesser opposition.

Zokora is a quality squad player, no more.

I've just looked into the stats for the last two and a half seasons and I've got to say I'm shocked by the results:

Jenas and Zokora - Played 32. Win % 34.4
Jenas and Huddlestone - Played 15. Win % 40.0
Zokora and Huddlestone - Played 15. Win % 46.7

These stats are for starting partnerships and from league games only.

I really did think that Zokora and Hudd would be by far the worst performing partnership. Shows what I know...
