I've got to be honest he's looked far more comfortable at right back than he ever has in centre midfield.

I think he should make it his full time position.

He can cause least harm there. I'd prefer his position to be right back at the end of the queue of players likely to be in the first team squad.

Hes looked a different player since palacios's arrival, maybe hes realised he has to up his game ... either that or he's taking notes from THE BEAST.

Zokora looked fantastic at RB ... The lad is a utility player and when we play Aston Villa Sunday week, I like him to play RB. He can match Agolohar oe Young as he can match them for pace ! He has played before in that position and looked great !

Well he played fantastic against Man u in CM just like he did at RB yesterday.

Glad he played at RB yesterday Corluka and Chimbo can just look too sloppy at times

Don't understand those who don't value Zoko. Does a decent job for the team, works hard, good athlete. By no means is he top drawer creative or skillful, but he's playing well for us these days. The decision to play him at RB was quality, virtually snuffing out Downings impact.

Credits got to go to Harry here. He knew Downing has been on fire all week. So he moved Zokora, who is the best one n one marker that we have at this club IMO, from his preferred CM to RB. Downing didnt have a sniff down the left last night. Well done Harry

He should play vs villa like some have said in this thread already.
Corluka was completely outpaced by young earlier in the season twice, Play zoko at right back and he should do a job like he did vs Ronaldo at the lane.

I think you guys will find that it was that bloody useless manager who went by the name of Ramos who first played Zok at RB. He even started this season at RB. Do you ever hear Zok moan about playing out of position..... Take note David "bloody" Bentley!

Credit to Zokora, our very own John O'shea. Every team/squad needs a player like him!

Inspired?

Wouldn't have anything to do with Charlie being rested?

Take note: worst international player ever to play for Spurs. An athlete, not a football player, except there's a lot more money in football than athletics, and it's a lot less punishing. I don't blame him, but there a lot of deluded fans supporting him because they identify with him(especially at last season's CC final, when he turned his back on the penalty).

What did Harry reckon Bill said to him? "You're a right winger who can't score goals. Are you anywhere near as good as Stanley Matthews?" What the fuck would he have said to Zokora when told about his favoured position? I think it would have been unprintable. Faced with this guy around 1970 as a "fait accompli", Bill would probably have called it a day there and then. It wouldn't have needed Feyenoord to finish him off and I guess there might have been some comfort in that.

1. your talking bollox
2. none of that even makes sense

Zoko has been a decent player for us, get off his back. He played immense in last years cc final since you mention it and his effort and workrate can never be questioned. We have upgraded in palacios, but im more than happy to see zoko as back up for cm and rb.

In the modern era being an athlete is essential, and having a mix of such energy and skill in a team is what makes a succesful club

Gary Doherty has 34 caps for Republic of Ireland.
Timothée Atouba has 24 caps for Cameroon.
Mbulelo Mabizela has 44 caps for South Africa.

Want me to continue or have I destroyed that point enough already?

Zokora has improved ten fold from his first season here. He does a job in any position he's put in, and he always give his all. He's fast becoming one of our most important players. Not necessarily automatically a starting place, but he'll never be left out the squad. Ever. Minus injury, of course, which I don't ever recall happening with him. He's like a bionic man.

Jesus, last year's CC final. Conceded 3 free-kicks in the first 20 minutes centrally about 20-25 yards from goal, eventually leading to the opening goal. Were you in cryonics then? Amazingly, with Ronaldo on the opposition, he did the same within 5 minutes last Sunday. Careless, like he couldn't even care less. He doesn't have any skill, not in any area. He is a phenomenal athlete. He makes no more sense in midfield than Usain Bolt.

Mabizela looked a decent player(stunning strike against Leicester away). I understand there was a refreshment issue with him. Atouba can play football, has a lot of skill, but lacks judgement. Doherty was pants, I'd forgotten he was an international.

Funnily enough, I generally expect players to give their all. That's the least you can give in their position. If Zokora ever becomes one of our most important players, then even darker times surely beckon. If I ever see a JJ/Zoko midfield next season, I'll be swiftly switching off or leaving the ground.
